Argh you've now got me watching this!

EDIT: Maybe you don't add the nineteen minus five bit because technically they are words not numbers and it's says to ADD THE NUMBERS. :? So the answer might be 20...or not...

I think the NINTEEN MINUS FIVE means something because when I was watching it the other night two people rang in with the 1111114 so is the NINTEEN MINUS FIVE Roman Numerals, please discuss this more if you want its only a theory

I love the treasure island game - but i hate that i can never stay awake long enough to see what was behind 4. Has 4 everr had the £1,000?

And for the add the numbers...WOAH Jebus, £60,000? Were they mad? I reckon the answer was 5 digits, they know no one would get it. As long as there is an answer that doesn't change, they are allowed to broadcast it.

They give you a mixture of words like...

C H S T L O

And you have to make words out of it, minimum of 3 letters.

So for example... SLOT.

If its acceptable, i go on to hunt for the treasure. They have a board with 36 numbers and behind each, is an amount of money. It goes...

£0 (Skull and Crossbones)
£10
£25
£50
£100
£250
£500
£1000

And there is more then one of each scattered around the board, Bar the £1000 which is only on 1 number.

So if i chose 4, whoever was there would rotate 4 around, and reveal what is behind it. Whatever is behind it, is what the caller wins, bearing in mind you have to make up a word from the jumble at the beginning to have a go.

People keep calling in until there is no more possible words to make. They are written on a flipchart.

A lot of the time. they will randomly give out clues that they get sometimes from the production team, such as 'A £250 is lying in the top row' or 'There is £500 in either 1, 7, 13, 19, 25 or 31'

They usually give out clues in packs of 2, so it leaves you with a dilema which one to follow if for example:

The £250 is in the top row, but there is only 3 to choose from as the rest have gone, but on the other hand, there are 5 other ones choose from which could have the £500. They always say 'Play it safe and go for the 1/3 chance of getting £250, or gamble a bit and go for a 1/5 chance of getting £500. Or you can really be a gambler and go for the 1/36 chance of the £1000!'

Bev's OK, but she's not my favourite. She's a Man City fan as well!
