It's that time of year again! This year, the UK are taking this thing slightly more seriously... At 7:30pm on BBC Four is the Eurovision: You Decide show hosted by Mel Giedroyc where we get to decide which act we're sending to Stockholm on Saturday, 14th May. The songs were published today:

3. Dulcima - When You Go
4. Matthew James - A Better Man
5. Darline - Until Tomorrow
6. Karl William Lund - Miracle

What do you think? My personal favourites are 1 and 5, and I think we'll do quite a bit better than we've done in the last few years. Not winning material I wouldn't say, but we're getting somewhere, finally.

Evening, anyone else watching the show tonight?

Some interesting acts this year, I'll be rooting for the UK (obviously), Australia and Belgium to do well

Nearly halfway through the songs tonight, so far the standouts for me were Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany (just for the Lady Gaga reject outfit the entrant was wearing) and France

Ooh yes, the Australian entry! Really like this one, I think it could win.

Wow, electric bill just went through the roof thanks to Cyprus...

Not sure if I like their song or not.

Russia seems to be copying Sweden's idea from last year a little bit...

Pretty catchy song though, can understand if it wins.

Latvia on now - don't like this much, singer too shouty for me

Good performance there I thought - hopefully we might actually finish on the left side of the scoreboard this year, you never know

Well, all the performances are over now - I'd say my favourites (apart from the UK) were Australia, Bulgaria, Russia, Austria and Belgium.

I know the Ukraine entry is one of the favourites to win, and it had a message behind it, but it didn't do anything for me...

And Ukraine is the winner...

If they didn't do the new voting system it probably would have been.......................

8 points in total for the UK from the fan vote. Apart from Malta, nobody seems to like us

Ditto and it's the big 20 next year of when they last won.

Just checking the televote results on the website - Malta gave us 1 point, Ireland 3 points, and Australia 4 points.

Did think we would be a little higher up, despite me not thinking the song or live performance were that brilliant. I don't think Ukraine are as bad as some people are giving it credit for, but wasn't the best song.

Well I had the amazing opportunity to witness this live on Saturday night (also Billy from this forum too, but I didn't see him). Incredible show. I think this year's bunch of songs were collectively the best in any of the years I can remember. Ukraine is only just growing on me, but I preferred Australia on the night. My favourites were Bulgaria, Lithuania, Malta, Israel, Armenia and even the UK! Joe and Jake deserved to do better than that but it was great when we got 12 points!
