I was a massive fan of the gameshow 'Wheel Of Fortune' when we had our own version here in Australia until 2006 (though they did try and bring it back in 2008, but it flopped terribly and lastly barely a month before it was axed - i didn't think the remake was all that good to be honest though )

And i have seen videos on Youtube of the old British version that you guys had up until 2001, and it made me wonder something, could/should 'Wheel' be brought back in the UK at some point?

It's a great gameshow and very good to follow along with.

It it would be interesting to see what it would be like if the UK version ever gets revived

I too loved this show. If ITV did bring it back though, they'd probably ruin it by making it an hour long, celebs only, having adverts every 10 minutes and a stupid competition for every break.

If not, I reckon they'd probably just give it tacky neon colour schemes, a mildly annoying host, give away mostly cash, cars and holidays, and perhaps make it look too similar to the US version, thus negating originality. Who knows?

But i used to love it when it was here in Australia, Rob Elliot was my favourite host of the show and he hosted it 1997-2003 (incidentally 1997-2003 were my primary school years, so i kind of grew up with Rob Elliot and the Wheel)

The only problem for ITV now is where they'd put it. The entire 4-8pm lineup is set (because, unfortunately, Tipping Point is a hit), and Wheel wouldn't work anywhere else.
