A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.

Just listened to Dizzee's new ditty 'Bassline Junkie'......What the HELL did i just listen too?!?!

Not only is voice far too dominant over the music, but i think he acts like the biggest prat in the song -

Look at these lyrics:

"Who told you to touch it, I'll *BEEP* kill you!! Don't ever touch that *BEEP* *BEEP* again!!"
"If you take my bass away, I'll blow your *BEEP* face away!!*
As well as some other horrible threatening/trollish lyrics

And on top of it

"BIG. DIRTY. STINKING BASS"

   :verymad :smt078

SERIOUSLY, WHO CALLS THIS 'MUSIC'?!?!

IMO, That whole 'song' represents the biggest chavs in the world and once again speaks on behalf of the YOLO generation of kids who just love to drink and party their lives away and don't care who gets affected by it

"It's all fun and games, even after someone gets hurt. YOLO!" :smt009

God i hate this generation. Why can't we have good stuff like Ace of Base in the charts now? :(

Amen! Most people in my year at school party, and I hate them all. Thank goodness I'm getting away from them all in a year and a half...

"When We Collide" by Matt Cardle is also on my hate list.

I second that!

My generation are horrible. I can far better relate to people from a different era.

I can't wait to get to uni, away from the cretins that surround me...

I know I've mentioned "How We Do" by Rita Ora before, but it's for the same reasons that James was talking about...

PSY - Gentleman

Currently at 183 million views on Youtube. Why is this trash so popular?! I listened to it when it was announced and I HATED it!

There's nothing wrong with a good party, ya miserable sods! :-D Just kidding, I'm not much of a 'party person' myself. Pub-crawls, cheap restaurant dinners and other such social activities ( :-D )are more fun anyway.

Definitely not nightclubs, though. Yeesh, those places give me the creeps.

At uni, you'll find a lot of people who just want to party all the time, I'm afraid. Thankfully, it's not all of them!

Cheap restaurant dinners, yes! Cheap restaurant breakfasts also.

I don't particularly like "Pokerface" by Lady Gaga. I don't particularly like Lady Gaga ('s music). In fact I detest her music.

Her I can't speak about, I mean, I've never known her personally, but her music is utterly diabolical IMO. :smt011

I watched the video for the first time the other and didn't like it. And i can't see it growing on me like Gangnam Style, so i don't get all the hype :?

At least we can raise Psy out of the one-hit wonder category now :)

Couldn't agree more. If I wasn't tired, I'd raise a smile.

Lady Gaga sounds like an uncooperative cement mixer.

There are legions of fans who exude adoration towards this beast, proclaiming it to be talented and beautiful. If resembling a cross-dressing Madonna impressionist, with a repertoire of skull crushingly tedious and sickly numbers that declare a hankering for riding on some poor sod's disco stick, can be considered a spellbinding attraction and unique talent, then Lady Gaga is your man.

Its career was foreshadowed by, astonishingly, Bolton's own Peter Kay. His 'Geraldine' drag act involved singing with all the grace of a hideous mining disaster and becoming extremely and unfathomably famous amongst the misguided fanbase all the while. Scarcely months later, the Gaga-beast was slithering into the charts like a slug. Eerie, isn't it? Peter Kay tried to warn us. We refused to listen. We are now perpetually suffering as a result.

Lady Gaga was disowned somewhat recently by gaining a noticeable amount of weight. Its comments went along the lines of ''Yes, I've gained weight. So what? I like eating''. She was lying in an unusual and uncomfortable position on the floor as she gave these comments, which was initially put down to her 'quirky randomness', until someone had noticed that she'd fallen onto the floor after her chair gave way.

I forgot to mention this, but 'The Motto' by Drake - The thing that started the whole YOLO bullcrap, which results in teenagers using "You only live once" as an excuse to get high, drink their money away and spend the rest of their lives partying on a diet of drugs and alcohol.

In fact, Drake and Lil Wayne are two of the worst rappers ever IMO. For starters, just looking at them makes me wanna hurl (like a lot of other mainstream 'artists' today), and then all the nonsense, often auto-tuned, that comes out of their mouth about the usual crap like sex, partying, degrading women and showing off how rich they are

I also notice people still seem to be talking about Rebecca Black. I know 'Friday' was lame, but that was over 2 years ago now, and yet, in 2013, people are still talking about it, making jokes about it, and referencing in memes and still see her as a current artist despite the fact that we haven't heard any of her autotuned drivel since 2011

I loved Friday!

The Motto... I know of that song only because it's the walk-up song of one of my favourite baseball players. I'd like to think he doesn't agree with the lyrics... :? :smt105 :smt011

It's a very boring song musically too... Walk-Up songs should be exciting! :P

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMZBXRsYYW0 - That would be my walk-up song.

Lil Wayne is bad enough... but Lil Twist made me burst out laughing! Goofy Voice + Rapping = Hilarity.

I kinda liked Friday for the trainwreck effect really! It was so bad, but catchy at the same time :P

Speaking of which, i've found a colourful opinion of Rebecca Black from a certain DoND contestant who recently had his 60 minutes of fame left on the cutting room floor http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4_kl1MMMI0 :P :ponder: ;)

From what I've heard from friends who know him, he has actually been sent down and is in jail for whatever crimes he has committed! Sounds serious...
