Emeli Sande - Clown

I hated this song the first time I heard it and Radio 2 playing it constantly really didn't help!

Pink - Blow me one last kiss

Played at least 5 times through my working day regardless of radio station.

Also despise

Bruno Mars - Locked out of heaven

His voice irritates me something rotten

That is all

Neil Diamond - Pretty amazing grace.

Everyone will probably disagree, but I heard it once and nearly fell asleep, found it so dull...

Some honourable mentions:

Sam and the Womp - Bom Bom Bom
D'Banj - Oliver Twist
Frankie Cocozza - She's got a motorcycle
LMFAO - Sorry for party rocking
Joey Essex - Reem
Cast of TOWIE - Last Christmas
Die Antwoord - Enter the Ninja
Scooter - Logical Song
DJ Ironik - Stay with me
Benny Benassi - Satisfaction
Fast Food Rockers - The Fast Food Song
Gummi Bear song

There's probably loads more, but I can't be bothered to think of them right now...

What about Whistle by Flo Rida

This was me when i first heard that song ----> :smt078

Seriously, "Can You blow my whistle baby, whistle baby, let me know" I need not do the whole subliminal translation of what it means because we all know what it means!

To think, this type of thing is popular with young kids. I find the song crass, tasteless, and IMO at least, a sign of the music industry flaunting the fact that (supposedly) S-E-X will sell

In fact, i loathe just about anything that Flo Rida has come out with, I think that his 'rapping' is all pretty much just nonsense, half of it just seems like him bragging about himself and the rest of it sounds as if he's just busting out random words

Yes, the lyrics are awful. I also can't stand over-sexualised lyrics .

Flo-Rida - 2Pac you ain't!

ANYTHING by One Direction.

The next thing they are doing is a cover of Blondie's "One Way or Another" for Comic Relief. Quit ruining music PLEASE!

I also hate anything released by LMFAO

- They have a stupid name

- They can’t rap/sing very well IMO :?

- They’re songs are all really generic and pretty much sound the same. IMO all they basically say in their songs is “Let’s go to a club, get blind drunk and just party our lives away”. Their songs are also full of over-sexualized lyrics, and just like Flo Rida, a lot of their ‘rapping’ either sounds like them bragging about themselves or just random gibberish coming out of their faces

That Party Rock Anthem thing is one of my least favourite songs ever.

I know, I'm most definitely not a clubbing person, but at least make the lyrics meaningful!

It's not as bad as that awful Taio Cruise song, though. :-D

I was just thinking of this same song. It's not bad, but I find it so empty. :?

To the thread I add...
Anything by Nikki Minaj, what a clown!
That Predict an Earthquake song. The backing music sounds like a washing machine. Or some sort of machinery that makes annoying sounds. Perhaps a hoover?

But yeah. Most songs do bang on about clubbing. Like, what's the deal. I find clubbing soooooo boring. And sometimes scary. :ponder: And I'm a uni student. :-D :-D

*Starts playing a Michael Jackson song*.

Aah, Michael Jackson. :-)

Please don't get me started on Nicki Minaj, she actually makes Justin Bieber look good IMO

There's so much i wanna say about her, but i think i better keep it to myself in order to avoid the embarrassment of receiving another warning :eyes:

Very, very, VERY well-said.

I say the same about music in general these days.

Everything Rihanna has ever done. Can anyone tell me her appeal ? Her songs are awfully written and one of them just re-hashes and mutilates the composition of Blue Monday (a TRUE classic) and re-packages it in the form of the auditory massacre Shut Up and Drive.

Anyone going to see the newly released Wreck-it Ralph ? They've provided an opportunity to take a toilet break during the film so you won't miss anything. They play Shut Up and Drive over a racing montage. Nearly chucked my guts up over the seats.

She is also just a ridiculous trend-setter (her hairstyles are mostly terrible) and she is in love with Chris Brown. No elaboration needed.

I also despise the music of:

Kings of Leon (high school nerds who got very, very lucky. Their two hits are dull cliches which would be forgettable skip fodder if the radio stations didn't pipe them into our ears every day. Some people just love to refuge in audacity.)

Lady Gaga (I WILL admit that the songs are catchy - they just happen to be dreadful. She sounds like an uncooperative cement mixer.)

Taylor Swift (You got dumped by somebody when you were 16. He obviously foresaw the sheer terror and madness that you'd unleash upon teenage girls ears years later, warning them that every lad is a bumbling fool because they can't put up with your unhinged frame of a mind.)

And while I can't say I *despise* his music, I really can't see anything special about Michael Jackson (sorry Skyline). The only really enjoyable songs he has are Beat It and Bad (I also have time for Rock My World. Just about). Everything else falls into mediocrity or is just plain rubbish.

Rihanna was good at first, back in her Pon De Replay/SOS/We ride days (2005/06) when she was a gorgeous lady who made nice summery music, but then she sold herself out after 'Umbrella' and since then she's become weirder and her music has become more crappy and generic. I personally think she hasn't been the same since the whole Chris Brown thing :smt009

Hot Problems by Double Take. Heard it for the first time earlier; the songs not bad, but the girls singing is so out of key!

I'll add to this list anything ever made by Gary Glitter/Paul Gadd.

It's not that he has convictions for perhaps unforgivable offences which sways me, it's the fact that most of his music - and I've put myself through a few songs - is, in my view, genuinely crap.

Of all of his stuff, I'd say only "Oh Yes You're Beautiful" could ever register as half-decent. And that's torrid enough as it is.

I'll add The Harlem Shake to this thread. Atonal, insipid bulls***.

What about the 'My Little P(h)ony, Friendship is(n't) Magic' theme? ;-)

Just Kidding! :-D

The Harlem Shake is seriously the worst song i've heard so far this year. The 'song' is just a bunch of really annoying high-pitched sounds thrown together, and the dance that it has associated with isn't much to write home about IMO :?

And Hot Problems is just plain cringe-inducing. Though I'm not sure if I agree with the hype about it being the new 'worst song ever' after Rebecca's Black Friday. Yes it's awful, but i personally think it's pretty forgettable compared to Friday!

I know it's for Comic Relief but that doesn't make me hate the song any less!
