All of Nicki Minaj's stuff is a DISGRACE to music!! 'Starships' is probably good for clubbing, but that's about as good as she gets

I'm with Aaron, and David, too, it's fair to say. I can't stand Wrong Direction, and Nicki Minaj's 'All About That Bass'...dear heavens above! She sounds - rather, 'she' sounds - like one of those puppets from that old show Sooty and Sweep, or, do you know the fellow who talks to his little green duck who says 'I wish I could fly, right up to the sky...'? Him. The duck, not the man, that is.

Oh, I don't know. They're both terrible, basically.

All About That Bass isn't a Nicki Minaj song! In its defense, it's relatively inoffensive, and rather catchy. I can see how it became number one for four weeks. Not worth a buy,maybe an illegal download, though I don't really see what the bass has to do we anything except for bass = ass?

One more nomination for Nicki Minaj's 'Anaconda'. Perhaps the only appealing part of the music video was the fruit on the record player.

I could tolerate Take That before but I really cannot stand their latest single. It sounds like the same old trash we already have in the Top 40. It's got the generic drum beat and guitar that has been in about 500 other songs this year

Although I don't think it's an awful song, I have problems with "Cool kids" by Echosmith

- Gets played WAY too much
- It was released over a year ago and how come it's only now becoming a hit?
- My initial reaction to the lyrics were "Is this about an outcast who wants to be a society-driven sheep to be cool?"
- Like other indie artists in recent times, Echosmith will probably have a couple of months in the spotlight with this song, before a sharp tumble into obscurity (See also Foster The People, Gotye, fun., The Lumineers, Lorde and MAGIC!)

Also, when I first heard it, i thought it was by Lorde or Ellie Goulding

There was once a time where The Hit List, a music countdown show on Canadian youth-oriented channel YTV, was on a British pop group kick. For some reason, they were dead-set on introducing the Canadian audience to British groups like Westlife, Take That and S Club 7, just to name a few. They also devoted entire episodes to these British groups, and even brought them in for interviews.

However, the Canadian audience didn't respond well to this, especially since the show was literally forcing these groups upon them. Although the show was at the height of its popularity in the mid '90s, an over-reliance on teen pop acts, British groups that the viewers had never heard of, and a series of format changes resulted in the show's cancellation in 2005 after 14 years on the air. It's a shame, because The Hit List actually used to be a good show during its first six seasons, but the rubbish pop music alienated the male viewership, thus effectively killing the show.
