Does anyone remember this children's classic.

Just flicked on to five and it was on! The theme music is brilliant, takes me back to the days when I wanted to live in a lighthouse.

What was that programme where they were all in a choir, but couldn't sing? And there was a caretaker or something, I think, and a man who played the piano. I loved that.

As good as Round the Twist and Out of Tune were, neither of them can beat the sheer excellence of the first series of The Queens Nose.

Now there's a good call. It went downhill after those first series. I loved the riddles. I was a right smart get and worked them out before the characters did!

I was working at a panto casting once (i wasnt auditioning I was just showing people the way in and taking their names) and the elder posh sister from Queens Nose came in to audition and she was terrible, she was a really thick person too, how she ever got on telly I dont know.

Her acting was slightly suspect too, if memory serves.

But for me it was never about her, it was all about Victoria Shalet :smt049
