The 50k game was construction and she had 2 lives and her trial run
She used her trial run and completed the game, then went for it, and on both occasions nearly did it but failed...

OH DEAR... OH DEAR... OH DEAR...

Should have gone for it straight away.

Then she could have used her Trial Run on the £100k game.

OH DEAR... OH DEAR... OH DEAR...

Of course I'm joking.

;) ;) ;)

But, seriously, that was unbelievable. :(

And the first time after that Trial Run, she completed the tower but it fell down just after the count started... :( :(

That, incidentally, was the first time a contestant succeeded on a Trial Run, only to lose all their remaining lives on that game.

But, more importantly, this episode was the first in which nothing was won... :(

And with very little having been won so far in this series compared to the other three (exactly half of the ten contestants going home empty-handed, and only one £50k winner), I for one fear that viewing figures could go into free-fall unless someone finally beats the Cube - or at least gets to the £250k game and takes it on... :? :? :(

I can't really see anyone going for the £250k. £100k is A LOT to lose!

Anyone just see tonight's show?

First player lost the remaining of lives on game 2.

Second player done very well, got to game 6, used the trail run and decided to give it a go and won £100,000. Only the fourth player to have won it.

Had 3 lives left... IF only he had saved the trail run for the last game, then it may have finally have been beaten.

It's in the Metro as well.

And he not only beats the Cube - he absolutely thrashes it. Six lives remaining...

But the show's in a bit of trouble at the moment following the last series, which as most of us know was quite poor - and I can't help but feel that this bit of news will not help its cause. :eyes: :eyes: :?

Not only will Mo's achievement take to the airwaves with most viewers already knowing about it - but also I doubt many people will be happy that the first person to beat the Cube is someone who's Famous Already... :eyes: :?

And because the Cube has now been beaten, expect it to be almost all downhill as regards viewing figures - just as it was for Millionaire after Judith Keppel... :?

Mark

What are your opinions on how people play The Cube? Do you think they should take the money less than they do?

It's totally different, as it's a matter of skill.

If they have 4-5 lives left, it's very worth going for it. But with just 2-3, it's a different matter.

Because if they have 2 or 3 lives left, the odds of winning the money are a lot less (say like a player with £75k and 7 low amounts at 8-box, just picking an example out of thin air)

Mo Farah went for it and was the first to beat The Cube... with also six lives.

It was the wife who FORCED him to take the money!

Then again, £100,000 is a HUGE amount to risk!

Indeed. But I may have gone for it depending on what the challenge was. If it was the one Mo Farah had in the final I would have gone for it.

It's hard not to be cynical that Mo Farah got a relatively easy game for his £250k win for charity.

Thought you might have commented about the wife's influence tonight - hard for me to comment as you will know from my comments on DOND twists that I have very poor coordination so would be rubbish on the Cube.

Hard to estimate the probability of succeeding the final game. Even if you assume the simplify would make the hole the size of the game he succeeded in earlier in his game, there's no guarantee he would have done it in 6 goes with all the pressure on him.
