Did anyone see this? I thought that the concept was quite good and with a win on the first day, it should get off to a nice start.

The gags are a bit dated and poor and Jasper Carrott seemed bored but the idea is good.

This was awesome.

The first bit was a rip-off of Pokerface.
The middle bit was a rip-off of DOND.
The last bit was a rip-off of Shafted.

And Pokerface, DOND and Shafted are the three best game shows ever. So I love it!

I thought it was great, although it did drag on a bit, and it did take a while to see what they were aiming for.

Haha! My thoughts exactly. I even missed Neighbours to watch it.

I enjoyed it also...one of the reasons being that the Brummy legend that is, Jasper Carrott, is presenting!

I watched the last half hour of it, and thought it was quite good.

They need an online multiplayer game! It is a great format but Jasper just looked so bored!

I know. But he just seemed even more bored than normal. His banter with the contestants was good and the idea was great but he seemed liked he felt he had lowered himself some what to presenting this.

Hahah, today's show was awesome. The way they fought so hard to get to a decent amount for the end bit...then lost it all anyway by both trying to steal it. It was hilarious.

I still have the same complaint that I did with Shafted, though - it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to ever say "Split". If you say "Steal" you win all the money or you win nothing. If you say "Split" you win half the money or you win nothing. Why would you ever want to split?! You just leave yourself open to them taking everything! Even if you say "Steal" and they do too then you would have won nothing anyway...might as well do them out of it too. Am I just a really horrible person who can't see the benefits of splitting it or does it make no sense? :?

Especially when it seemed they were working together...as for BINning the big money, it's the same as discovering the £250,000 in open play in Deal or No Deal - never a good thing!

I've seen both shows so far, and I have to say it's a good show. I have a gripe, though. It's a bit unfair in the "Bin Or Win" game that if you find a Killer ball, the Jackpot drops to 10% of its original value. Would it be fairer to, say, drop it by half?

And I agree that there should be an online game, but how would the main game work (trying to convince the computer players you have no more Killers)? Maybe it could be an MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) game! I'd definitely play!)

Too bad the end part (Split Or Steal) is EXACTLY the same as Shafted (which was voted one of the WORST gameshows of the 2000's! I, unfortunately, have 3 of the 4 episodes!)

Shameless plug, I know, but I contributed the rules of the game to the Golden Balls Wiki page (I contributed everything after "Jasper Carrott", but didn't provide the picture).

Was fun today. Annoyed they both stole though, greedy plops.

You saying that, it reminds me of The Grid, the one Les Dennis presented. For a penalty square found, it randomly deducted percentages off the winnings.

It's the "Prisoner's Dilemma", daniel. You can either be nice and split the money with your opponent 50/50, or try to be greedy and take it all, but if you're both greedy, you lose out!

But if they're greedy then you lose anyway! You have absolutely nothing to gain by splitting! I guess I'm just a very selfish person...

So by splitting, you only win (half) the money if the other person splits too?

And if you steal, you only win (all) the money if the other person splits?

So if you "split", you'd be thinking that the other person would do the same. But in that case, you may as well "steal" from them.

I see what you mean, splitting is pointless :P

I would steal, because if I lose I wouldn't want to give the other person the satisfaction of taking all the money.
