Does any one remember Funhouse with Pat Sharpe?? I always wanted to be a contestant just to go in the funhouse. Funhouse, it's a whole lotta fun, prizes to be won...la la la la la.

Also I used to love Knightmare, especially when it first started out. I thought it was so exciting because there wasn't anything like it around at the time. I applied to be in the show but was too young. I wasn't as keen on it near the end of it's run as they used real scenery rather than the computer simulated rooms, which kind of ruined it.

Funhouse was wicked. I signed up for an application form then threw it in the bin because I was scared of being on TV!!

And Knightmare? Wow, we used to play that in the playground with lego spyglasses etc... We used a balaclava turned the wrong way round for the helmet of justice, we were resourceful like that!!

Ha ha, we used to play Knightmare in the playground as well. It was practice for if we ever got on the show. I used to be the dungeoneer but I'd just shut my eyes instead of using any visual obstructions. We'd perfected 2 systems for turns- degree angles and the numbers on the clock. I was gutted when the producers sent us a letter saying we were too young to be on the show.

Pat Sharp's Funhouse! I remember it well! Quality TV at its best! I remember Knightmare too, but I wasn't a huge fan of it. They should bring Funhouse back, they really should!

:-D

Fun house was legendary always the best CITV had to offer.

Another best CITV offered was Finders Keepers now that was well good.

I can remember entering a compition for one of their Go-Karts but I lost and was well guttered :(

Jungle Run is alright but cannot beat Fun House

I used to play knightmare round my mate Peter's house. We used to put a cardboard box on his brothers head and order him around the house.

It was all fun and games until he fell down the stairs :smt090

Funhouse was AMAZING. I always had schoolboy dreams about going on there and meeting the twins. When I'm a millionaire I'm going to build the fun house thing in my garden.

Fun House ran from 1989 to 1999, Knightmare 1987 to 1994. So yeah, you'd have only been about two when KM ended.

Both really great shows, CITV at its best. Just to correct this, though:

It never used real scenery, but the CGI by the last series was very good indeed, so you could have been fooled into thinking it was real.

It had everything from fun to mild peril!

I love Knightmare! I have run the official knightmare chatroom along with Billy, one of the members to this forum for quite some time! We have also played our own Knightmare version of DOND since November 2005!

Both of them were smack bang in the middle for my childhood! Funhouse with Pat Sharps mullets (and the twins :D ) and the great Go Karts. I wanted a go!

And Knightmare was superb, like when they go to run past the giant bomb or get across the ice before it collapsed and stuff like that! Spellcasting...

Great Gameshows. I enjoyed watching them.

I liked the Grand Prix with the Go Carts in Fun House> I would like to see a rerun of the show again one day.

One of my mates looks just like Pat Sharpe. Loved Funhouse, always wanted to go on it.

"Funhouse, whole lotta fun, prizes to be won.
Use your body and your brain, if you wanna play the game" and all that.

Knightmare was good. "You are in a room" was a common phrase.
