With the end of Divided this week I see ITV have got 2 new gameshows lined up for the 5pm slot.

First up is 'The Chase' - which is hosted by Bradley Walsh and will air for 2 weeks starting June 29th.

ITV Press Centre wrote:
Bradley Walsh hosts The Chase, a brand new quiz show on ITV1 daytime.

Every day four contestants pit their wits against The Chaser, a ruthless quiz genius determined to stop them winning at all costs.

The four strangers must work as a team, answering general knowledge questions and playing a strategic game in order to win themselves a potential prize pot worth thousands of pounds.

But standing in the way of the cash prize is The Chaser, a highly intelligent, supremely self-confident quiz genius who is on a daily mission to stop the contestants from winning any money.

The contestants take it in turns to build a cash sum by answering quick fire questions against the clock. Each must then go head to head with the Chaser in a race to get their money into the team prize pot without being caught.

In the chase down the game board, every right answer moves the contestant a step closer to the exit - every wrong answer gives the Chaser the chance to close the gap.

If the contestant gets out without being caught, their money is added to the team prize pot. However, if The Chaser catches them first, the money is lost for the team and the contestant is out of the game.

The game concludes with the remaining contestants entering a two minute quick fire round where each correct answer pushes them along the exit route. They then must watch as The Chaser is given 2 minutes to catch up. If he doesn’t reach them in time, the team prize money is split equally between the contestants; if he succeeds in catching them, the team goes home with nothing.

The next show is 'The Fuse' - hosted by Austin Healey and will air for 2 weeks from the 13th July.

The clock is ticking… The Fuse is burning… Hearts are racing… Welcome to the brand new game show for ITV1 daytime that’s certain to scorch the opposition! The Fuse is a thrilling show built around three distinct Q&A rounds:

Round 1: Six-in-a-Row – this requires the sextet of strangers to complete a string of answers in order to beat The Fuse and rescue the mystery amount of money stored in their chosen Fuse Box. There are six boxes up for grabs, with six chances to add to their pot of cash for the team’s kitty.

Round 2: Burn Out – dynamics change as teammates turn into the opposition and our players turn on each other, attempting to burn one another out of the game. This is a frantic, frenetic, fastest-finger-first buzzer battle from which only one player will emerge unscathed.

Round 3: The Final Fuse – we crank the tension to the max in this nailbiting end game where the surviving contestant takes on The Fuse for one last time. Watch in anticipation as they have the chance to triple their cash prize or lose the whole lot!!

Both sound interesting enough. I see ITV are only giving these shows a quick run though of 2 weeks (10 episodes). So if they don't prove to be popular ITV won't have wasted a lot of money on producing lots of episodes. Of course if they prove popular then they'll no doubt make a full series out of them.

Does anyone know how Divided has been doing in the ratings compared to Golden Balls. As I think Divided is quite a good show. Though they could do with mixing up the questions a bit as there tends to be a lot of similar themed questions.

Yeah the Chase is good fun. I was on it on Monday and won a little bit of money. We were treated really well and had a great time so a good day out, all in all!

A guy from today's show was an ex-Dond'er. He did pretty well.
