Over recent years at christmas The BBC have brought back sitcoms for a one-off episode, e.g last year we had 'to the manor born' A few years ago it was 'As time goes by', what else would you like to see return

One Foot In The Grave - it's my favourite comedy programme of recent times, although Fawlty Towers is probably my all-time favourite. So it'd be good to see these two revived, but perhaps just as a one-off as a whole new series of either would probably not match the original. Perhaps a short slot on Comic Relief / Children in Need would be good.

However, it would be difficult to revive either of them as the character of Victor Meldrew is supposedly dead, and John Cleese is now in America and has moved on to new things.

Well even though it is not an oldie, Two Pints of Lager is now back, so that's a start for me! ;)

Seriously, I'd love to see Red Dwarf...but the day that comes back will be the day Craig Charles quits his chain smoking addiction!!!

I'd love to see this widely-suggested Friends reunion soon, one-off or not it would still be an amazing watch.

As for oldies though, you could at least revive them and attempt to bring back the glory, even if it meant using new actors/actresses. I mean, it worked for Nicole Kidman in Bewitched, right?

Fawlty Towers, although I agree with H that it should only be a one-off special.

Brittas Empire was such a great show, loved it.

I also loved The Thin Blue Line, was hilarious.

The Crystal Maze, For The Rest of Your Life (Possibly in a 45 minute time-slot?) Michael Barrymore's My Kind Of Music, Simply The Best (Simply, one of the best) and Interceptor.

As for other TV shows, At Home With The Braithwaites was fairly good.

That would be so amazing if possible... I just really really hope they dont ever think to bring it back!

A one off Fawlty Towers would be great if they did it properly.

Bottom- Anarchic, slapstick nonsense at its absolute best. I'm not normally a fan of this kind of thing, but I think Bottom got it down to an absolute tee.

Red Dwarf- Unique in so many respects and utterly hilarious at every moment.

Fawlty Towers- As has already been mentioned, a one-off special would be superb though I'm not sure if the cast would ever reunite for it and, without the supporting cast (The Major, Miss Tibbs, Miss Gatsby etc.) I just don't think it'd be the same.

Blackadder- There have been talks concerning a 5th series set in the 60s for years and I'd love to see it, though I think they'd find it very hard to recapture the comic genius of the other 4 series, as well as making it appeal to a more modern day audience.

Keeping Up Appearances- Absolutely hilarious show, I always watch it whenever it's on. Never get bored of it.

The Thin Blue Line- Another Rowan Atkinson classic and something that never fails to make me laugh. It is often overlooked which is a shame because it was so funny.

Allo! Allo!- I know they brought this back at Christmas but I reckon another series of this would be fantastic.

There are looooads of others too, such as "Are You Being Served?" and "Father Ted" (which, unfortunately, can never be brought back) but there's always a great fear that they'd never be as good as the originals- and, most of the time when they bring shows like this back, that is always the case. Shame really.
