How is it worth an entire show on its own? It was always a feature on a Japanese celebrity show, and it wasn't meant to be a 30-minute show in itself.

The Aussie version at least knows not to be taken seriously. The host has the best gag of the year: 'The deepest thing about this show is the pool!'

I saw a trailer for this earlier on BBC1... it's quite fun watching the odd clip of human tetris on YouTube or whatever, but I'm not sure it needs a whole show. Although I suspect it was quite a cheap show to make which is why they were spurred on to do it.

I watched this and it was alright. Dale Winton presents and a bunch of celebrities (well if that's what they want to call them) compete against the wall to win £10,000 for charity. Seems more like a show that would be better suited to Challenge TV rather than BBC on a Saturday night.

Anyway here's some highlights from today's show if you want to check it out - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=754FT64pDvU or check out the whole episode on BBC iPlayer - http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00dq8tl/

I didn't see it, but I've watched your YouTube compilation and it seems they spend most of the time re-playing each celebrity's attempt at the wall, which must take up most of the air-time in itself. The concept in itself isn't bad but (unless there's more to it I don't know about) it seems to lack something.

There's a selection of rounds (4/5 or something), but basically all the same mission - get through the wall. It starts off with 1 member from each team trying and then increasing to 2 or more at a time to try and get through the wall. Depending on their success (or lack of) Dale gives them a score out of 10 and whoever has the most can play the Mega Wall to win the £10,000. The difference here that the wall comes at you double speed.

That video I did contained all the actual "action" from the show i.e. all the wall attempts, which was about 8 minutes. The rest of the show, 20 minutes, was just chat and what not and choosing members.

The show itself is fun, but I think after 10 weeks it may get a bit repetitive.

I think your right about it being cheap, you could see that based on the fact that the walls kept breaking,

And Dale Winton shouting "bring on the wall" every time does get a bit grating after 10 minutes

I think thats probably health and safety as much as cost saving.

It was a good show though, I liked!

Strangely, I liked it. As long as you don't take it as a show of substance or great intellect and can bear the sight of grown men in tight lycra suits, then it's fine for a bit of mild diversion. (Oh dear, I've just highlighted everything that's so wrong with the programme  )

However, a 10 week run is far too excessive for essentially a side game to a bigger show. Couple that with the fact it is sure to trawl the complete z-list of reality tv celebritydom, and it sounds like the worst idea ever conceived.

But at the moment, it's good fun. I'd say by week 3 at the latest, the novelty factor will have worn off. Possibly depending on what mystery guests/ celebrities they have lined up.
