I know it happened on Monday night and all but I thought I'd start a thread about this, dedicated to the musical genius of Madonna and to take a look at some of the amazing, ever changing music she has given us over the last 30 years. The purpose of this poll is to try and do what Richard and Judy failed miserably to do on Monday :P and determine what everyone's favourite "Madonna Decade" is.

Before you vote, here is a quick overview of each decade in the world of Madonna:

80s:The decade when Madonna first became big gave us some of her most well known hits ever, including Like A Prayer, Like A Virgin and Material Girl as well as some fantastic lesser known hits like La Isla Bonita and the, in my opinion, highly underrated Borderline. Through her marriage to Sean Penn, the eighties also gave us the gorgeous Live To Tell which acted as the soundtrack to one of his movies.

90s: Most famous for Vogue, the 90s saw Madonna take a new direction musically and saw some wonderful hits for movies like Beautiful Stranger for Austin Powers and Don't Cry For Me Argentina to coincide with her role in the film Evita. The 90s also saw the songs Erotica and Deeper And Deeper, as well as the discoesque Ray Of Light

00s: Still going strong, the new millennium started with Madonna's version of the Don McLean classic American Pie and two major hits in the form of Music and Don't Tell Me. Her success continued as she released quite possibly her most controversial album to date, American Life and had hits with the title song and the theme to Die Another Day. Then came one of the biggest selling albums of this decade, Confessions On A Dance Floor which included the cleverly produced Hung Up and Sorry.

And her new album, Hard Candy is due out in April 2008, so it doesn't like she has any intentions of stopping anytime soon.

But what's your favourite Madonna decade? It's tough to decide but, based purely on some of my favourite songs of all time, I just have to go with the eighties, though I love pretty much all of her songs.

She is one of those very rare artists than have kept up a high standard throughout her music career.

My favorites from the 80s are Like A Virgin and Material Girl

My favorites from the 90s are Vogue and Ray Of Light

My favorites from the 00s are Die Another Day and Sorry

Every decade is top notch but the 00s is the best I think.

80's for me, The Immaculate Album is one of my faves.

I am not a lover of her recent work.

I think it's amazing how her genre of music has changed over the years; nowadays she's known for bringing out dance tracks.

I really can't decide - she has brought amazing songs out from alll three decades! Material Girl is my fave from the 80s, Vogue from the 90s, and Hung Up from the 00s

For me it's definitely Like a Prayer from the 80s, Vogue from the 90s and American Life from the 00s. But, then again, I love almost all of her songs anyway so by next week those favourites will have changed.

I love her new song- 4 Minutes (To Save The World). Bit different for Madge but it's brave and I reckon it works well- can't wait for the album now! Only 20 odd days to go!

The "4 Minutes To Save The World" video is on Youtube now and has been officially released. It's an interesting one... Timbaland ruins it for me although Justin Timberlake is quite well suited to the song and the video along with Madge.

Certainly not one of her best songs ever but a good one nonetheless and definitely not one of the worst anyway!
