Who is watching the second series of ITV's Dancing On Ice?

I see it is now on Sundays instead of Saturdays and I'm assuming this is a regular thing. I think this is a good move, as there has always been nothing on TV on a Sunday in the early evening timeslot, and DOI sits nicely in it.

Looks like a fairly good group of people taking part this year, and while it does seem to be the ice based rip-off of Strictly Come Dancing, I think it's good! Plus it's nice to see ice skating expert Fred Palascak back! :P

Yes I agree, especially now that Fred has been voted out. :P

Still, the Russian one who looks a bit like him is just as good.

I'm not sure I watch this for the skating...... :eyes:

I watched this last night and thought it was pretty good, though I was waiting for someone to fall during the performances. I missed the results though as I ended up watching something else when I realised Heartbeart was on ITV1 :)

I also think it's good that they've moved the show to a Sunday as there's never usually anything decent on, there again the same can be said about Saturday night's at the moment. The One and Only on BBC is terrible.

Yup, it's a regular Sunday slot, and frankly that's running scared from Doctor Who in my opinion. The soaps have an extra half-hour on weeknights (Corrie now has a Friday double-bill to join its Monday double-bill, Emmerdale now has a permanent hour-long Tuesday episode) in lieu of the Sunday slots, and News at Ten is back (which deserves a post of its own).

To be honest, this is clearly a sign that ITV's one-hour dramas have been torn to smithereens by US imports...

Get your skates on because ITV1 are looking for a member of the public to take part in their DOI spin-off show.

Dancing on Ice: Make Me a Star

Telly show Dancing On Ice is searching for the best non-celeb skater. The winner will perform in front of millions of viewers at the 2009 Dancing On Ice final. The hunt starts later this month – when individuals and groups will be put through their paces at local ice rinks. Cameras will follow contestants’ progress on the new Saturday night show Dancing On Ice: Make Me A Star – on ITV1 from January 26. As in the main show, skating stars Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean will oversee the search, while Holly Willoughby hosts the series. Viewers will also get a preview of the Sunday’s Dancing On Ice show. An insider said: “We felt it was only fair that the public got to show off their skills – just like our celebs.”

I couldn't believe my eyes on Sunday night. Did you see what that Holly Willoughby was wearing? How utterly disgraceful. I am appaled and disgusted by that dress she wore. It would of looked much better if the dress was in black :)

Daily Mail wrote:
Her plunging neckline certainly drew attention away from soberly dressed co-host Phillip Schofield and the sequinned celebrities including former page three girl Linda Lusardi and singer Suzanne Shaw.

One viewer, writing on a TV messageboard, said: "Why doesn't Holly Willoughby stop messing around and just do the show topless?"

Another wrote: "My husband and I have great fun trying to bet how low her top will be each week. She does struggle to keep them in, doesn't she?"

A third said: "Why does every woman on TV these days only seem to wear clothes which show their wares?"

One viewer pointed out that the show is watched by many children. They said: "My two children, aged eight and ten, love the show and we all watch it together as a family before their bedtime, as it starts at 6.15pm. But even they were asking why she was wearing very little."

Last night, an ITV spokesman said: "We received FIVE complaints about Holly's dress. This is a very small number compared to the 9.8million people who watched the programme.

I personally thought Holly looked amazing on Sunday night and so nice to see a curvy women presenter who doesn't look like a stick insect :)

I just can't believe 5 people would actually phone up ITV/Ofcom and make an official complaint about a dress :?

I mean it's not like they were hanging out....only just mind.
