Did anyone bother to watch this? I thought it was quite possibly the weirdest programme I have watched in a long while. The idea is that it's meant to reflect a normal family in today's society (whatever that is), but this family seem so cold and unlikeable, it is hard to engage with the show at all. For the most part it was immensely depressing viewing.

The first show revolves around their stroppy teenage daughter who went out every night via taxis, didn't pay housekeeping, phoned in sick to work when she wasn't (although we've all done that...) and was generally a miserable person.

It was just a very strange programme, maybe it'll take a few weeks to warm up, but I'm not sure what its overall aim is; presumably to make you relieved that you don't live in a family as miserable as this. The footage is effectively allowed to run with no narration apart from a slight intro at the beginning. It's trying to be thought-provoking, but the trouble is nothing stimulating happens. It also has an eerie spooky atmosphere about it.

I expected something much more upbeat, disappointing after all the hype.

I love how you always seem to like the eye-catching telly! :P

I watched it, and found it difficult to get into, but as you said already I could easily end up loving this! It is a typical family nowadays, hell there a lot of teens who once they turn a certain age, they literally live for nothing in their parents' house etc. Many families will end up relating to this show soon enough.

A weird one...how can parents go out and leave someone like her in charge?!?!?

I'm getting into this properly now, I can tell there are loads of families that definitely relate to this one!
