I don't know how many here are already familiar with what's going on, but I know there's a lot of people here who like American-based TV programs, so I thought I'd fill you all on what's going on.

Last month, due to numerous reasons, almost every writer in Hollywood have refused to write more scripts and are on strike. It's uncertain how long it will last.

The bad news is that almost every show here will be affected by it, some may even be forced to cancel permanently if it goes on long enough. (In fact, some are already announcing their "finale" in December!)

Just thought I'd warn you guys.

Imagine if this happened here... all the GREAT modern British comedies and dramas that are on our screens regularly would come to a halt... oh wait, we don't have any great modern comedies.

I read about that, something to do about DVD sales? Over the years some of my favoruite shows have been American moreso than the British shows.
