Here in the states, I've worked on the new prime time show "Power of 10", testing out different formats and rehearsing the game. This show is already a hit and it has major elements:

Comedy
Drama
Tension
Excitement

http://www.cbs.com/primetime/powerof10/

Take a look at the site, play the mini games, and watch the first two episodes. Heck, if the UK is getting "5th grader?" and "Identity", chances are, this show may head over seas, as it is produced by Michael Davies.

What do you guys think???

Annoyingly the full episodes aren't available to non-US viewers. Bah.

Must have been cool trying out different things. I saw the YouTube clip of the end of episode 1:

Quote:
Putting this under a cut as it is indirectly a spoiler...
Had they really not rehearsed the $10,000,000 question? I'm guessing they'd tried different variants on that before settling on that one... and was it just me who thought Drew tried to pressure the guy into playing? I had horrible flashbacks to Noel at that point...

Aaron Brock: even if CBS gave away $10,000,000 every episode, it would still be cheaper to produce than the crime dramas they generally rely on (three variants of CSI, Cold Case, Without A Trace...). Also, their audiences are rather bigger than any UK channel ever gets these days, and they have longer adbreaks - all of which means an awful lot of advertising revenue.
