Yup, I've known about the previous contestants returning for that for round 4-5 months..... or however long it was.

Nothing else but just that.

I feel the same way as Richard: how on earth did this not only get more than 60 shows, but also becme the top rated daily game show in the UK ???!!!

Answer: Alexander Armstrong. He's been the British equivalent of Steve Harvey, injecting brilliant comedy into an otherwise dull show and making it a ratings success.

And I notice the prize fund for this momentous occasion is a whopping £2,500. Good grief BBC, the public won't start a riot if you offer just a little bit more than usual in this occasion, especially considering other BBC game shows offer as much as £20,000 (Decimate) nowadays!

Anyone else here still watching Pointless? I lost interest a bit initially after Richard left, but I've come round to the idea of guest 'friends' over the past year now we've had more times to get used to the idea.

Also, TPTB seem to have half-taken on the criticisms of the jackpot round on here and elsewhere, as they now offer a bonus £500 for getting three Pointless answers in the final!

£500 feels very lame for such a rare and amazing feat.

Would've preferred they just ditched the rollover jackpot and had it be £1k/£5k/£25k for 1/2/3 pointless answers in the final; payouts would be similar as it's very difficult to find more than one Pointless answer in the final.
