"Welcome to Christmas Crossover 2020, Game 2!" Where Archie hosts and AARON faces the twists.

Archie notes that the offers weren't what drove his Game 1 win! Here come the pregame twists:

DOUBLE 99: £15,000 -> £150, £50,000 -> £500. The colour stays unchanged. That's important for reasons you'll see later.

HUGE DOWNSHIFT: £20,000 -> £810. He doesn't like that's a good red becoming a "blue," Archie noting Double 99 already did that.
STANDARD DOWNSHIFT: £250 -> £48.
SMALL DOWNSHIFT: £100,000 -> £66,666. "Not small enough!"
SMALL UPSHIFT: £5 -> £8.
STANDARD UPSHIFT: £100 -> £2,750.
HUGE UPSHIFT: £500 -> £64,000! "That could have been better," Archie noted given the theoretical £1m ceiling, but it does get a blue into the huge upshift zone!

And as it happened, the opening wheel spin bought us LOCK IN - no 17-box opening offer. "Eight boxes in the opening round, how do you feel about that?" "Lovely," Aaron says, as he'd have only gone and No Dealt it ;) Box 14 is on the table, and away we go!

Box 2 - £66,666! "At least I've already done a third of the damage," Aaron noted pointing to that downshift.

Box 22 - £2,750. "Another shift, gone."

Box 21 - £1. That's a huge downshifter taken out!

Box 20 - £500. One of the Double 99 amounts, as opposed to the shifted one!

Last before the shift and wheel...

Box 12 - £750. Small shift gone.

Second wheel... BONUS BOX. That would activate on a £35k+ win anyway but is now guaranteed, so whatever he wins could get the double-up!

Box 3 - £1,000. "That's fine. Two blues now." Aaron's eyeing the huge downshifts...

Box 13 - £10,000. Archie thinks anything above that means there is a replay decision to make (and it'd only cover the last three)...

Box 10 - £250,000! OUCH.

"Because of Twelve-Shift, I have to replay. No question about it."

REPLAY ACTIVATED.

Again again!

Box 3 - £810! "Good, that can go."

Box 13 - £1,000. "Come on! Blue! Something that doesn't start with a pound sign!"

Box 10 - £250,000!! AGAIN! "What is it with these games? We just can't seem to get any momentum in the main game."

The good news is the shift isn't doing any more damage as it sends 10p... to... £725,000!! "SHE CAN'T SPEAK!"

Only three opportunities to use two predictions... not using one here.

BANKER'S OFFER

"With the way these games go, and the Bonus Box, I'm genuinely tempted to *beep* off." But he doesn't. NO DEAL.

Here comes the spin... Archie points out the £725,000 is blue... relevant because TIMES BLUES BY 3 is hit!

3p
£2,175,000

£144
£233,331

£3,000
£5,000
£10,000
£150
£35,000
£75,000

Because Aaron is incapable of reacting to anything without a Eurovision reference, his response to this is "it really is Fuego now!" If the £2,175,000 is "upshifted," it goes DOWN to a million... Archie wonders if this could be a £1bn game!!

Box 16 - £2,175,000!! "It's gone." And no Replay left. Aaron is staggered. He swears.

Box 6 - 3p! That's one huge downshift gone, one remains...

Box 17 - £5,000. "That's fine." Aaron says the board is better than it was before that initial 10p shift...

Shift is £10,000... to £7,500. "Fine."

Two opportunities, two predictions, the Banker is making his mind up...

£1.50
£24
£30
£150
£144
£233,331

£3,000
£7,500
£150
£35,000
£75,000

Aaron's nervous given the forced prediction and utter board chaos...

PLAYER'S PREDICTION

£11,385

"Why so precise?" Aaron offers some sort of convoluted explanation...

BANKER'S OFFER

£11,250

Which is good for an 8.8% Win Boost! £11,250 would become £12,240 with that... Aaron notes the board has an even colour balance, and with some of those shifts being huge upshifts... NO DEAL it is.

Wheel time! No blue multiplier this time... but ADD HALF TO TOP VALUE gives us a new top prize of, erm, £349,996.50! "Get in." "Don't do what you did in the last round and take it out in the first box."

Box 7 - £144! "Cool."

Box 19 - £150! Another small downshifter, but this game is about keeping the one that started in that territory and now very much isn't...

Box 9 - £7,500! The shifted £10k, gone. "Good stuff, kept all the biggies and we could be huge upshifting..."

Aaron is dreaming... could it be a million in the mix?

£3,000 shifts... to £12,345, adding more money than the boxes removed!

£1.50
£24
£30
£349,996.50

£12,345
£150
£35,000
£75,000

He spoke about the offer's potential two extremes in his mind.

PLAYER'S PREDICTION

£29,700

He was thinking of £26,000 or £32,000 and couldn't cover both...

BANKER'S OFFER

£28,000

Another 3.9% Win Boost, which makes the overall boost, erm, 13.0432%! £28,000 would become £31,652.10 with that...

"Three to open in the next round unless you spin and find the offer button." Aaron is talking about "the spirit", Archie is pointing to that weird jackpot and noting it could become almost £3.5m with the x10 blue multiplier on the wheel... NO DEAL!

Massive wheel spin... finds... TIMES ALL BLUES BY 10!!

Archie called it... and it happened.

This is the new board...

£15
£240
£300
£3,499,965

£12,345
£150
£35,000
£75,000

"This is exquisite. This is television at its finest." Archie notes there's another x10 blue multiplier on the final wheel!! He's in his absolute element. "There are EuroMillions jackpots smaller than this!" Aaron's "gone beyond the bend" or something... so has Archie to be honest, he's well and truly on board the Hyperbole Express...

Box 4 - £150! One down. Archie adds "the good news is you have no predictions left!" :smt046

Box 5 - £15!! "One away!" Aaron makes inhuman noises. "This is the greatest forum game we have ever had, regardless of what happens now." "You don't get this on a scripted television show!" adds Aaron...

Box 15 -
£75,000 AND IT'S CHEERED! Because £3,499,965 is still there...

Shifting...

...is...

...£3,499,965!! It has to go down, to the shift ceiling of a million if there's any "upshift" and less if a downshift...

...and one of the two downshifts is the pick, so it's £550,000! "Why am I disappointed?"

Well at least it's now in the realms of what we imagined possible......

£240
£300
£550,000

£12,345
£35,000

BANKER'S OFFER

£50,505

"He's rewarding this incredible game with an incredible offer." Aaron jokes he'd have taken £50,050.50! Aaron notes he gets the Twelfth Shift on anything but the 10% chance, quotes all the other things that could play out for him... impersonates Karl as he says NO DEAL!

Final wheel. Anything could happen here...

Backups, gone.

"It's the thing I hate most about the Deal Wheel and it's happened." Archie notes it has a worrying tendency of showing up, and Aaron is already fatalistic!

ARCHIE RESPONDS WITH A PHONE CALL!

BANKER'S OFFER

£20,000

With a 60% chance of a 1p win if he doesn't. What a moment!

"He's trying to get me while I'm feeling defeated," and he's not going to let that happen. NO DEAL again!

The "lifeline" declined, it's now the high wire act... "My head has turned to custard." Three bullets need to be dodged...

Over to 23! It wasn't a NOTHING so it's still available!!

QUADRUPLE (4p)
DOUBLE (2p)
+£20,000 (£20,000.01)

MONEY BACK (1p)
HALF (HALF PENNY)
QUARTER (QUARTER PENNY)
NOTHING

Obvious DEAL is obvious, the draw number is 5 because of the 5s in the last jackpot...

...nope. QUARTER. THE BONUS BOX IS STILL ACTIVATED!! But MONEY BACK was found.

"Aaron." And then Archie corpses. "At one point, you had... an amount on your board worth £3,499,965." (He misquotes that number, can you blame him?) "Unfortunately..."

AARON'S TOTAL WINNINGS: QUARTER PENNY

(There's theoretically a 13.0432% Win Boost to apply, but it wouldn't even have been worth a twentieth of a penny.)

Archie says it's the most fun he'd ever had hosting a forum game, and he wishes it'd ended differently... but it ended up as a Christmas tragedy and not a Christmas miracle. "That... was just immense. He was boxes away from £3.5m, but unfortunately fate and Lady Luck delivered a cruel and sinister twist."
