There's about £915,000 on this board. 17-box average is therefore... in the fifties... and there's still seven blues on the board, it's just that three of them are red. :smt046

A huge complicating factor here is the Deal Wheel. Also, that 23 with the £150k jackpot and the no-nothing configuration I've got for it - on one hand I can salvage anything with that, on the other hand the -£5k might wind up as a Nothing but barely scratches at any high stakes...

And this is a very difficult board to evaluate in stability terms. Or is it? Seven "blues," and if you account for the jackpot being bumped up 2.4-fold, I've basically got the equivalent of three oranges, £10k, £15k, and £50k. Would I deal an equivalently generous offer with those six reds, the £250k, and seven blues? I would. So I have to take this as well. DEAL!

21, 20, 22.

Wow, that... was not the round I anticipated having. I was thinking I wanted to play on just because I wanted to keep having fun, just shows that sometimes the worst reasoning can produce the best results in this game. ;)

This is going to sound weird, but that validates my Deal. If a round that good only bumped the offer up 25%? I needed to play to 8-box minimum.

My goodness. The worst-case scenario might honestly be LOCK IN and then four more boxes of this luck. :smt046

THIS is what would have happened with the wheel..

MUST TAKE 23 + QUARTER - 23 will become compulsory and an additional "QUARTER" will be added to the Money Menu

Well, at least you've avoided that!

Box 19-

£330

GOOD GRIEF!

The average is now over £100,000... He thinks that you're now regretting the fact you dealt at the second offer..

BANKER'S OFFER

BANKER'S CONDITIONAL GAMBLE

HAND BACK £30,000 and you can come back into LIVE play.

However.

1- You must accept the deal wheel spin

and

2- The Banker gets to look inside your box

I'm still not regretting it. What I am doing is having to think about whether I'm OK with playing on in those circumstances, because that is definitely a valid question now.

My CURRENT Box 23 money menu options: £60k / £180k / £30k / £25k / £15k. £310k on there, average £62k.

If I play on, my new money menu offers me about 97% of my stake plus £24k (ish, dividing these numbers by six is awkward), compared to my current 110% + £29k. In short, I'm down £5k for sure plus a fraction of my stake, but of course the point is the volatility of my stake.

IF I keep the jackpot, even if I keep the three "blues" with it, I should get a massive offer. But "should" is doing a lot of heavy lifting, especially with the Banker knowing what's on the table. And if I lose it, then the best-case scenario is an average in the £30k range, and there's a 3/8 chance of that.

NO DEAL, but that was close enough that now I've got more regret potential. That is the decision I'll look back on. Brilliantly engineered.

11, 7, 9. We know what we want to see.

By not being psychic, yes. ;)

It was indeed an incredible game. And he stopped it before it really started. Say what you like about my decision, HE made the decision to play safe and make a stopping offer at a point of the game that doesn't normally produce one, and THAT was the winning move. Courage, caution, and calculation all in one move. Congratulations to him, he is well and truly back.
