To say i enjoyed it Aaron would be a major understatement!!! i know i only got 1p but that was irrelivant, it was the best 2 and half weeks of my life......

They did actually send me a cheque which i have framed... i sent it back to Noel to sign it for me, and he put a little message on the front saying 'what an exclusive club' and signed it

i dont mind it when he mentions me... nice to know he still remembers me

I remember at the end of your show, you said something about being famous for being the 1p winner.

Yeah... i said it would be better to win the pennny rather that the £100, if i had won that then no one would have remembered me.... worth all the £99.99p if you ask me....

You've made a name for yourself. The game may be about big money, but you came out with fame instead of fortune.

Can't see anyone winning 1p again for a very, very long time.

I thought you were great - I really appreciated the fact that you didn't hide your disappointment when the £250,000 went, and I was in stitches when you asked for the phone number to enter the viewer competition... especially when it then gave away £5,000 :O

Hell, an audience ticket for one of the shows complete with a blue tag from the blue viewer boxes went for £9.50 on eBay, so I'm sure your 1p cheque would be worth... more than the £100 you lost from swapping your box, at least, if you chose to sell it. But I for one would keep it, must be an amazing conversation starter

[Incidentally, I'd probably have dealt at £4,500 - but not one of the other offers was worth considering let alone taking. You just had an unbelievable run of bad luck, taking out the last eight reds without interruption...]

The 1p club certainly made you a household name.

I think that all followers of the show now look for the penny to go now, so that there won't be anymore members of your exclusive club.

I always liked the way that Noel ripped you a bit for wearing your tank-tops.

DOND may be the only gameshow where you always root for the contestant bacause of the continuity of the players and the fact that there is a common enemy, so me and my partner were very dissapointed with your result, but fair play for playing it all the way.

i got on really well with Noel, there was always alot of banter going on about my tops and stuff... gutted with the outcome but eh, you never know whats round the corner do you!

Your tops certainly became a little trademark of yours nick, which Noel picked up on.

Perhaps theres a market for Nick Tops, the logo could be themed around a 1p :wink:

If you market this idea and it takes off, remeber where the idea came from and i'll await my royalties :wink:

Of all the people to win 1p it sadly had to be you. It was a truly bad game it shouldnt have happened to you. If you still want to play DOND you could play the find the 250k game in General Discussion i think some members would like it if ex-contestants played along.

I also didn't see your game nick, but how can I forget you when noel mentions you virtually every game?

hehe, i remember nick's infamous tops...i can remember noel just going up to him during someone else's game and saying 'nick...looking lovely in lemon as always, open box...'

made me laugh. i too unfortunately missed nick's game...and irene's the day before, both of which i so wanted to see
