If there was ever a game to invoke the spirit of Summer then this is it. A fantastic feel-good game which was one of the highlights that month, and you can see a videoclip of it here. Just listen to that atmosphere in the studio, they're screaming after every box!

Peter was a fantastic contestant and he seemed like a great guy and he had such a lovely smile. If I remember correctly, he also gave very good advice to other players.

10th June is one year since Sexy Joan’s game, and she played with box 6 after 21 shows on box-opening duties. She had a very good first round, hitting 4 blues and only one red – the £20k. Her opening offer reflected this and it was £8,000. Joan played on and despite hitting the £50k, her second offer rose to £13,013. She had a similar third round, hitting two blues and the £35k, meaning her offer steadily rose, this time to £20,000, but Joan played on, only to have a disaster as she hit the £100k and £75k, and her fourth offer plummeted to just £5,000.

Joan then hit the £250k in the next round, meaning all of her high numbers had gone, leaving £15k as the highest, and she no dealt the offer of just £2,999. She was left with an offer of £3,000 on a 10p vs £15k board, which she declined, and her box was opened to reveal just 10p!

10p is just the coolest amount ever. I can't beleive nobody's won it since Sexy Joan. Whoever wins it next will become my fave contestant ever.

Part of the reason I think its so cool is Dave Woollin's quote "My parents are going to kill me for this....(puts on squeaky voice)...What ya' doin? You could win 10p...(normal voice)...and thats just me dad!!!"

Is this the longest gap between an amount being won and won again? I.e. the gap between the first and second 10p winner is over a year now!

In terms of blues probably, but we've been waiting longer for another £100,000 win of course!

The only other blue that hasn't been won in 2007 is £1, which was won in November. £3,000 and £100,000 haven't been won this year either, £3,000 being won in December and £100,000 being won last May.
