It was a real heartbreaker. That £250,000 going just started a horrendous downfall. Had that not happened, she'd have most likely dealt at a highr 5th offer and not got so worried that she dealt at £1,300. It was bad viewing!

I missed Stevie's game - and I'm sort of pleased that I did!

Buzz's was fabulous though. I have to admit my sides were splitting after his first round (it was that bad it was funny!), so to recover to almost 10 grand was quite a turnaround. It was one of those games where the amount won feels like so much more than it really was, given the fact that he had one of his speciality blues the whole time!

KEEP GOING! KEEP GOING!

Ah, Stevie was brilliant. Shame her game went all wrong. £1,300 is still better than a blue.

£1,300 was a *beep* deal but I loved the way she did it:

"£1,300, Deal or No Deal?"
"...I think I'll deal. I'm sorry, but I think I'll deal! I'm sorry, but I think I'll deal!!"

Stevie was so quotable. And she always had to say everything twice.

Another funny thing was at the start of her game when Noel asked her if she was the banker's spy, and she very defiantly and seriously said "No, no. Definitely not. No, no I'm not!" or words to that effect, as if she thought Noel was bering seriously!!

Stevie was one of the best players of all time! Also her game was another example of a legend on the wings having a disaster on the chair :(

Haha, "having a disaster on the chair" - it makes it sound as though poor Stevie was incontinent or something!

Oh and something else was some comment she made about her husband dying that sounded really out of place!!

We need the definitive Stevie quote book!

There was a rather bizarre re-mix of Stevie's game, set to dramatic music, that was posted on YouTube a while ago... does anyone know if it's still there?!

The 3rd June 2007 marks a year since Jainie took to the pound table with box 18 after 26 shows on the wings. After an average first round, hitting the £35k, she received an opening offer of £9,100. After a not-so-good second round, hitting the £20k and £75k, Jainie received her £9,100 offer again as her second offer.

A good round followed, and she declined her third offer of £20,000, she had another good round and her fourth offer rose to £31,000, which she dealt! Her proveout went well, and she received hypothetical offers of £15,000 and £31 on a £5 vs £100 board… and she had £100 in her box – a good banker beating!!!

Jainie's was the absolute best game ever, especially after the horror of Stevie's. Although they had pretty much the same board at the fourth offer, and Jainie was offered almost £10k more! (And then Suzanne a few days later would get even more...)

I think Jainie may have been my friends sister's friend...was she young? Because my friends sister's friend went on and won £31,000. How many other people have won £31,000?

No she was in her 50s I think, though she didn't look as old as that.

The other £31,000 winners are Sara, Marcus and Jo (who also played nearly a year ago, so she may be the one you're thinking of?)

You forgot to mention that she took out the same first 7 boxes as Stevie, but in a different order.

Also, at 6:31 the camera showed Jainie's hands holding the mug. Her watch showed 6:31!

Jainie was cool. I'm still slightly stunned that she and Stevie both played a year ago! I can remember their games more clearly than recent games!

It's probably Jo, do you know where she was from?

Hm, maybe it was £30,000. My friend didn't know the name though, but his sister is like 20 or something (though that doesn't necesarily mean her friend was the same age, but it's likely)

5th June 2007 marks one year since the game of Bearded James. James had a poor opening round, hitting the £50k and £250k, resulting in an un-tempting opener of £1,220. An all-blue round followed, however, with a slightly more healthy looking £8,000 up for grabs, which James no dealt. After another all-blue round, things were looking up for him and he was offered £14,700 for a board which had £3k / £5k / £15k / £20k / £35k / £75k / £100k and four blues, and he dealt this third offer.

His proveout rounds went very well for him – having an all-red fourth round and a hypothetical offer of just £6,000! In the fifth round,James knocked out the £100k, which resulted in a hypothetical fifth offer of £2,500, and then the next round produced an offer of £147 on a 50p vs £750 board – and he had £750 in his box – resulting in one of the few third-offer banker thrashings! :-)

Repeated post? Thought you didn't drink much!

Or by the time I come back onto this thread, I'd have just imagined it!

What a great game - really the only time that one of my namesakes has totally rubbed the banker's face in it! Also the third round deal meant that a lot of funny bits were kept in the edit, so it was a wonderfully entertaining show! And I was flabbergasted when he dealt, I mean there were 5 numbers higher than the deal and another two low reds there, so it was the best proveout I'd ever seen up to that point! I'd have had a £147 OPL if I'd played that game!

(But not as good as the one three weeks and a day later!) ;-)
