Same thing happened to me. Because it was a Saturday, I forgot it was on. I switched on the telly and was like

This time a year ago was the game of Jason, who played after 21 shows and carried box 17 to the Pound Table.

After hitting the Rock and the two lowest of the power 5, Jason faced a very low opening offer of just £1,400 (more like £8,000 these days…).

He then hit the £100,000, £250,000 and 50p in the second round and his offer doubled to £2,800!! After an all-red round of low reds, his third offer was £1,999, followed by a fourth offer of £5,000 after a better round, both of which he no dealt.

He then hit the £75k in the next round, resulting in an offer of just £950, which he no dealt, and was then left with a final two of 1p and £750 and an offer of £300, which he dealt! He had £750 in his box, meaning this was an OPL…

I have to admit to not really liking Jason, and therefore finding his game quite funny! Asking everyone what they think they have in their boxes is asking for trouble - it was unfair on June given that she revealed the £250,000. :)

I probablky would have done exactly the same as him if I'd picked the same boxes though - if the best case scenario at the end was a still-lousy £750, I'd have probably taken £300 to avoid the 1p club, as the potential gain wasn't all that great. The only offer I'd have considered was the £5k.

And didn't he leave Box 4 which contained the 1p? That's a bit ironic. ;-)

I didn't mind Jason but the bit with June was absolutely *beep* hilarious. What a legend.

I think I'd rather win 1p than £300 or £750...although £750 would have been quite good at that time as nobody had won it before. Jason dealing meant we had to wait another five months until anyone did!

Was that the game where they went round asking who had blues, and June said she did and pulled out the £250k? That was one of the funniest DOND moments ever!

23rd May 2007 marks a year since Lofty played DOND with box 12 after 26 shows on the wings.

After declining offers of £9,400 and £6,000, Lofty dealt his third offer of £18,000, with the £75k, £100k, £250k, low-value reds and some blues still remaining on the board.

His proveout rounds did not go well, and after hitting low numbers, he received hypothetical offers of £36,000 and £48,000, and it wasn’t until he hit the £250k that the offers started to decline again – his final offer would’ve been £22,000 on a 50p vs £75,000 board and luckily his box contained 50p!

Jason was brilliant. Absolute legend - on his game. Still the 3rd lowest deal...

Today is a year since Patricia played after 26 shows on the wings!

She carried box 2 to the Pound Table and after having a good first round, she no dealt the offer of £6,300.

Despite hitting the £35k and £75k, her offer rose to £9,000, and after another good round, her offer rose again to £14,500, which she no dealt.

The fourth round had a sting in the tail though, when she found the £100k, knocking her offer back to £8,500, but she played on and had an all-blue round resulting in an offer of £32,000 on a board which had £50, £500, £3k, £50k and £250k remaining, and she dealt that offer!

However, her final two was £500 and £250k, and she received a hypothetical final offer of £92,000! :( Her box was opened to reveal the £250k!

That can't be right 'cos she hit the 1p in the first box...

I didn't realise she'd been offered £6,300 though!! Why the *beep* didn't she deal?!

I was really surprised when the £250,000 was revealed in Patricia's box. I thought she was going to be a low winner and would have a blue in her box. Looks like I was wrong on both counts. I liked her though and I thought she played it quite well!

£6.3k as a opener a year ago was really good, and nowadays you get £7.5k for revealing three of the p5! outrageous.

who played tomorrow then

They are 2 of the best players ever, particualrly £250K box Debbie. I really wanted her game to go better than it did and I am glad she had the £250K- because I wanted her to win it.

Geordie Helen was cool as well!

Rich however- duuuuuuuuulll. (as was Rich 2 in fact)
