18th May 2007 marks a year since ‘Clumsy’ Tom played after 20 shows on the wings.

Tom played with box 14, and was most famous for his exploits in Massimo’s game a few weeks before, when his (apparently) rather large belt clip knocked his box off the wing and onto the floor, revealing its contents and meaning the course of Massimo’s game changed.

There was no mention about Tom’s clumsiness in his own game though, presumably because they planned to edit the Boxgate incident out of Massimo’s game, but decided to keep it in during the editing process.

Tom had a good opening round and turned down an offer of £6,000, then had an all-blue round and received an offer of £18,000 – a very high second round offer at the time!

Then followed an all-red round and his offer fell to £4,011. He managed to recover though, and no dealt the fourth offer of £11,000, to be faced with an offer of £33,000 as his fifth offer, which he dealt.

However, his proveout round resulted in a hypothetical final offer of £99,000 on a £5 vs £250k board - and he had £5 in his box!

Tom's game was awesome, not because of Tom (although I quite liked him in his game, despite hating him on the wings), but for: A) Stevie having the £250,000 at the end and going on about how she was going to open it in a "grand" fashion, and B) The first appearance of Sexy Joan.

It really was a terribly unlucky period for the contesants - Tom's was really the best game since Gaz's, and the most exciting since Morris', and it still left a bad taste with the £99k proveout offer....and his winnings wouldn't be beaten for almost 3 weeks! I think Tom saved the week from being the worst ever in terms of winnings at the time, with two trainwrecks and three modest wins.

Simon's and Sarah's games weren't bad despite them having more in their box, indeed I thought Simon did really well to get his 13k from what looked like a trainwreck!

I felt really sorry for Tan too - he never got an offer worth considering, I mean barely a grand with £35k in the last 5? That's worse than offering a swap in Ventress' situation! It's about the equivalent of £7k with £250k in the last 5!

19th May 2007 marks one year since the game of Raj. Raj played with box 8, after 33 shows on the wings – although he did miss a few shows due to illness, and the shows he missed are included in his show count.

He had a reasonable couple of opening rounds, although he did knock out the £20k and £35k in the first round, and he no dealt the first two offers of £5,200 and £10,400. He then went on to hit more Power 5 values though – this time the £75k and £50k – but his third offer didn’t drop dramatically and was a respectable £6,600, which he no dealt.

However, his fourth round was complete disaster – hitting £10k, £100k and £250k in that order! He was left with a board of 6 blues and two reds (£1k and £5k) and a fourth offer of £320, which he no dealt… then went on to hit the three highest blues and received an offer of £640, which he no dealt.

He was left with a 50p vs £1 final two and a final offer of 64p, which he no dealt! His box was opened to reveal £1! :(

This is a milestones show as it is in this show that the blue chants started, apparently they only happened towards the end of the show, and during the time when Raj was choosing his next box, rather than just before the box was opened!

I'd have dealt 64p, but I guess he wanted to found the 50p club, but sadly didn't even manage that! :)

Today is a year since Emma B played, after 26 shows on the wings! She played with box 3 and after a fairly bad start and a low opening offer of £2,000 to reflect the bad opening round, she went on to hit more big numbers, and after a second offer of £850, a third offer of £4,800 only came along after she had an all-blue third round!

She no dealt that, only to hit more of the Power 5, resulting in a fourth offer of £1,800 – her highest number at this point was the £15,000… which she then hit in the next round, along with the £10,000, leaving her with a board of 10p, £1, £750, £3,000 and £5,000 and a fifth offer of £500, which she also no dealt.

Her final two were £750 and £5,000, and the banker teased her with an offer of £2,000, which she no dealt, and her box was opened to reveal £5,000 – an OPW!

This shows was a Eurovision special, due to the Eurovision being screened on BBC 1 and across Europe on TV that night in 2006 – and all the contestants were dressed up suitably!

I loved Emma - I felt really sorry for her having to dress like THAT for her game, poor girl. That game was a bit like Hannah's - £5k ended up feeling more like £50k!

And it was ironic that she left Stevie till the end and she had a blue :)

Shame we didn't get a Eurovision show this year with DOND no longer having "current" shows on Saturdays!

I remember missing the start of this because I was going to my Nan's house. I was confused as to why they were all dressed up! I watched Eurovision later that night as well.
