Hurrah for Nick Day!

Just rewatched his Hall of Fame video on youtube. This is gonna sound really odd, but I'm glad a player like Nick was the first 1p winner, someone who could laugh his way through a disaster. Obviously I wish he'd won £9,000, but if he hadn't won 1p, then the first member of the club would be Trevor, who's game was so horrible and heartbreaking that a 1p win would be rubbish. I hope the first 50p winner is another fun game like Nick's rather than a heartbreaker.

I hope Noel mentions this very special anniversary on today's show...or, at least, I hope The Banker does!

Well it was Nick Day on 3/1, and the banker didn't comment on it yesterday, so I doubt he'll mention it now.

Don't forget that because they record DOND so far in advance, they may not have noticed ths significance of 3/1!

A year since Pat (1)'s game!

She is probably an easily forgotten player for most, but gave us quite an exciting game for the time (in early DoND, when many dealt in fear of winning blue).

I have it on DVD, so watched it back this morning.

Yeah she was - swapped £100 for £3,000. Second time the £100 was swapped away that week, too.
