*nicks Elton's glassess and puts them on* :-D

And that means..........The greatest old codger :-D ever to enter the premises of the show, and the only one who ever knew what this was all about, played one year to the day....tomorrow! :-D

Like Tom Hanks and his football on that island in 'Cast Away', it looks like it's just me and the bots here now. But that's alright, we're having a grand old time. Aren't we, Wilson? WILSOOOON?!

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.

I've gotta see these late Dec 05 - Mar 06 episodes - I only caught the odd one back then, Benita's game sounded fabulous, lucky ruler and Noel hitting Beryl with it and all sorts! :)

Odd that I think £27k is a really generous offer on the board she had, and with 10p in her box....maybe the banker hadn't cracked the sequences by then?

It's a year to the day since DOND legend Russell played - Russell played after 20 shows, came to the Pound Table with box 13, and dealt for his fourth offer of £21,000. Unfortunately, had he gone on, he'd have had £36,000 on offer... but then his final proveout offer was £200, and £500 was revealed in his box!

Why did I only manage to catch Saturday games back then? :x

This sounded like one of the funniest games ever!

Aw, I've got so nostalgic about these games that I'm going to try to rent Russell's from C4oD...it probably won't work, but I'll try...

 I should also add that Russell's got himself a spot on the DOND interactive DVD game, and he also went up on stage with Saj to collect an award for DOND, at an awards ceremony recently!

This time a year ago, it was Paula R's turn in the chair of craziness. During her 25 shows, Paula R had the £250k a staggering 5 times - she still holds the record for the number of times someone's had the £250k! She played after 25 shows, and brought box 4 to the table. She dealt at her fourth offer of £16,400, but went on to be offered £44,000 :( in proveout as her 5th offer. However, £200 was her final offer, and she only had £500 in her box!

No she doesn't - Elton had 6 £100,000s. She just holds the £250,000 record.

 I'd forgotten about Elton and his love for the £100k... I've edited my earlier post now. :P

The 18th February marks one year since... John G played... who came to the table after 24 shows, and brought box number 21 with him. After receiving an opening joke offer of £8 due to insulting the banker in a previous game, he went on to have a fifth offer of £25,000. He said how much the money would mean to him and his family, and he... no dealt. :? He then went on to destroy his board  and receive a £90 final offer on a £10 vs £250 board. He no dealt, swapped his box and won £10. :? John G appears opening boxes on the DOND interactive DVD game.

"Judge John G Indeed!" used to be one of your many avatars, Banker! With a picture of John G coming up dressed as a judge!

Not a very good judge at knowing when to deal, though...
