I'll join - based on the games I saw recorded when he was on the wings, he could be up there as one of the most memorable elder male contestants.

Think i saw all but 2 of Tonys games, including his actual show (No Mark, dont ask...) and he is still my favourite player of all time.

Yes I'll join this one. He seems like a cross between terry thomas and leslie philips, if such a thing were possible! Anyway, quite a character and good to see Noel having banter with someone close to his own age.

Love him, that moment where he went 1 0 up against Noel with his posh comment on his debut, that'll live with me forever, just an incredible moment, I was in sitches for a minute, just couldnt believe he'd said it, every game I cant wait to see what he says, legend, and I mean like Eunice or Famer Clive, proper legend I think he'll end up being!!

But he would be better as Sunday (or saturday, or whatever they wan to call it) cos sunday games for me, are the ones where quite a few of the more charismatic players such as Tony seem to play.

Well, Friday is usually reserved for big characters who have been built up in the weeks beforehand.
