Shaz's game today.

Noel says we have an imbalance on the wings at the moment with one wing being subdued and the other energetic...

Noel then runs through Nicola's game yesterday and her nice win of £44,000 which will help her in her life... :D

Posted: Fri Feb 29, 2008 17:18
Haven't been looking forward to this game due to her wing advice... so i'm saying off the channel for the moment.

Posted: Fri Feb 29, 2008 17:18
Her last few games, low blues and a couple of low reds which is good.

Shaz has box 9 today. Noel says this will be the briefest game in the show's history, and he is afraid to say anything to her as she will say DEAL  Shaz has her husband in the audience for support today...

Shaz would like to win enough to help her husband reduce his hours at work, and also treat her family... She shows us a picture of her gran who is 102...

Shaz has a list of numbers that were chosen out of a bowl by her friends...

Here we go...

Shaz does a chicken impression :P

The banker says he has been having a party as he has saved over £750,000 due to the weakness of the contestants this week! He says that Shaz is the most cowardly contestant of all time! He has a quandry at the moment as he says that Shaz has one of the top 3 smallest amounts in her box...

He has a cunning plan to stop Shaz dealing at the first offer...

Banker offers

SWAP

Shaz wants to SWAP for box 6

Noel swaps the boxes...

It is her husbands birthday...

Posted: Fri Feb 29, 2008 17:28
Noel asks if Shaz will call the banker's bluff now and pick her box or will she stick to her system... Steve advises her to stick to her system, and Shaz agrees..

The banker calls back and is annoyed at Evil Steve  For not getting Shaz to open her original box!!!

Next round

That was an unlucky game :(

Posted: Fri Feb 29, 2008 17:58
Well, what can i say, i really liked Shaz and i soo much wanted her to get a massive amount of money! She was brave to turn down the £12,000 and that round was just terrible!

Still, £1,100 is still alot more than 10p! Congradulations Shaz on £1,100!

You can't argue with luck, but this is the reason people are dealing pathetic offers.

Another entertaining game despite the smallish win, I dont think anybody here would have expected it to go the way it did. Well played Shaz, she took the awful turn-around really well.

Shaz can walk away proud at playing a brave game and proving just about everybody wrong.

Posted: Fri Feb 29, 2008 18:14
...well that just about sums it up doesn't it? So-called coward plays to the final two when an eight-box Deal would have been entirely valid... and squanders £10,900.

I hope Shaz really did want to No Deal there, rather than being sucked into the Wakeyistic fervour of the last week; if the latter is true, she's in with Dot for taking risks that implied not being true to herself!

Probably best that you did. She ended up going further in the game than any other player this week, yet won substantially less. You really wouldn't have enjoyed it.

Shaz had unbelievable bad luck in the latter stages of her game. Still, she was a good player and provided a good show - and luckily she dealt and avoided becoming a member of the 10p club! Enjoy the money, Shaz.

Well, it's typical the dealers on the wings usually seem to have a bit of a gamble when it comes to their game, the opposite being Steven who said no deal all the time then dealt the 3rd offer

this game actually reminded me of Lynn's but without all the bealing.

Good game. I'm lying there actually, most of it was crap, even though I didn't watch it.

Welldone on £1,100 Shaz.

I don't know if anyone's interested, but I was a pilgrim for this game and I can tell you that some great stuff was edited out. Hopefully I'm now allowed to reveal some of it here.

In particular, after Shaz had had her 'smutty phone call', the fourth offer call was very interesting! In the edit at that stage you get to see Shaz saying that she'll make him an offer the Banker couldn't turn down (or something like that). What you didn't get to see was Shaz then going on to offer to tie The Banker up with bandages in a little bondage roleplay! She went into quite a bit of detail too! The Banker then said to Noel that he'd have to phone back a few seconds later with an offer, partly because Shaz had got him excited, but mainly because what she said was far too rude to be broadcast!

When the Banker phoned back again, he then made jokes about how pitching the offer was "a knotty problem" and that he'd like to offer more but his "hands were tied".

Also, did anybody notice the 'Evil Steve' sticky label stuck on the front of the set just where Steve stands?

kestral wrote:

It is her husbands birthday...

Actually, that wasn't the reason she chose 6 but since the real reason got edited out, and was very personal, I'm not going to reveal all here. Suffice to say that 6 was a number that was especially important to her husband.

Ooh, that was a bit of a bad luck.

I liked Shaz, a really nice woman who i'm sure will put £1,100 to good use. A nice game as well

And MisterAl, no i didnt notice the "Evil Steve" thing actually...

A lot of Shazs game was edited and as MisterA1 pointed out it was a very personal and emotional game. Shaz and Philip shared alot about there life's. I think Shaz came across great though. Well done Shaz, see you at mine next week xxxx Donk forget the bandages !!!!

Unlucky Shaz

But least you made Deal Or No Deal History and you may ONLY be the ONLY one ever to do it

Your game aired on 29th Feb can't see Deal Or No Deal lasting 4 years so your in the history books alone :-D

I've got an awful feeling she really wanted to deal the 12k but didn't becuase she wanted to prove she was braver than they all made her out to be...

But I don't think it was a bad decision, I'm usually with KP about looking for a deal with a 2-box game at that stage when hitting one of them would harm the next offer, but the 15k there as well I would have been going on as taking out the 100k or 75k would not have harmed the offer as long as the 15k stayed too. You couldn't legislate for luck like that!

I thought she'd end up really upset like Lynn too but she seemed genuinely appreciative of the £1,100 (it is a load better than 10p after all), which was good.

And for once, a low deal was the right thing to do - but I'd have really liked her to open Box 9 earlier than she did, as with both the banker being wrong AND it containing a very low value, it mAY have got her better offers!

But well played Shaz!

If that happened to me, I'd have far, far more nightmares about it than selling the £250k when I would never have gone any further anyway!

To take a Noelism and spin it, it's about being true to yourself. If you're a cautious player, Wakeying it is not being true to yourself, even though Noel will say it is and praise it as a transformation. Remember the £50k winner from the last week of season 2, Lynn I think it was? I don't think she was ever a gambler, looked nervous, but took what I thought was a greatly out-of-character gamble at £17,499 (it had to be out-of-character, Noel was shocked and my instant reaction was that he'd prodded her on and suddenly felt guilty about it - because I wasn't a pilgrim I'll never know though), pulled out the perfect round, and got praised to the skies.

Goodness, the distortions from Noel!

Still, the decision itself wasn't stupid out-of-context, and I may have done what she did myself. But it was so clearly out-of-character, and in such a clearly Wakeyism-friendly context, that I have to wonder...

An interesting show. A first offer swap, which the Banker hasn't offered for a while and I had this horrible feeling he was just going to keep offering swaps. I was very surprised that Shaz turned down £12,000, especially considering how she spoke about the second offer of £1,000 and I really thought she would take it and in hindsight she should of as she had the worst possilbe luck after that. Bad luck Shaz.

It's a shame they edited out some of the banter Shaz and the Banker had, as I did find that really funny. But obviously they couldn't really talk about bondage and stuff at 4:15PM. It would be nice though if they made a special late night show featuring all the rude out-takes and such, but I guess that'll never happen either as it's seen as a family show, even if it is on late at night.

I don't know if it's just me, but some of the comments and banter recently seem to have been a little more risqué than usual, like yesterday when Shaz said "Most of the male patients say anyway, toss me around in the bath Shaz" and later the Banker's comment at the offer via Noel "You're considering a stick, but there's something that makes you think you need to go up", though considering what was cut from the show that was tame. I glad they at least keep some of the risqué stuff in.

Posted: Sat Mar 01, 2008 14:36
There is loads of risque banter edited out, as I am sure any of the contestants will verify. I saw a hilarious moment on Wednesday that included a four letter word passed on by Noel from the banker. They obviously decided they might want to include that particular call in the final edit because it got re-shot with another word substituted. If you want to see the show uncensored you will just have to go to see a recording, theres loads that doesnt make TV, its over 18s only though.

As I have suggested before an occasional 'DOND Uncut' special would be a brilliant idea for a post watershed show.
