That was great, I thought to get a 5-figure sum out of that at the second offer would be virtually impossible, without having 10k or 100k in the box or 100k in the last pair! And the twist worked really well today too. It does give the player more difficult decisions than in a conventional game, that's for sure. Only troubale was at the time of the deal, it was only a 1 in 6 chance of an OPW!
Two things I wasn't keen on - the banker saying "If you take out box x, I'll offer y, and if you don't, I'll offer z". He did something like that in Ferno's game as well (and Shaz in November when he guaranteed at least 20k if she missed the 75k in the last round). Part of the challenge to me is trying to predict the banker's next offer against the one you've got - the only knowns should be at 2-box when you know if you no-deal it's one box amount or the other. For instance, Richie should have had to think "What will he offer above 16k if I take out a blue? Will it go down if I take out the 10k safety net?" etc.
The other thing was the stupid proveout offer - I know it doesn't really matter on an all-blue finish, but it seems as though he offers something stupidly low if it's impossible to offer something more than the amount that was dealt at (see also Stan's £1,500, Jean's £1,300 for instance). He should have just said something realistic like £21!
Ayway, enough moaing - Richie was great and hopefully the 16k will fulfill his motor racing ambitions - you never know, he could be the next Lewis Hamilton! You'll certainly know if its him with a name like Puddle!
And Derek, George and Reg are complete legends.
