Audrey's game today.

Noel welcomes us to another day at the Dream Factory, and says he gets feelings more times than he lets on while doing the show, and goes on to say how Adie convinced us about box 3 and 5 yesterday and how he had feelings about them and he later went onto get rid of box 3 and it was revealed to have the £250,000

Audrey has box 1 today. Noel asks Audrey about all the police work she does, and how it involves spotting a lot of detail, and then shows her that her box is on the table the wrong way round :P Audrey is from Liverpool, and is a secretary in the Police force, she tells us that all her family have been involved in the police over the years. Audrey has her friend in the audience for support, and Noel asks if she is a witness for today, or here for support :P Audrey shows us some pics and says they were taken with a camera she borrowed from work, and Noel gets worried that he could be involved in some crime!!! :P

Here we go...

Audrey picks the newbie first

15 - £1,000 Newbie George

3 - £250 Nic

13 - £50 Katherine

2 - £20,000 Kate

Barry next, and Noel calls him the mystery man as we know nothing about him as he opens his boxes really quickly :P

6 - £750 Barry

Happy with that says Noel, and Audrey agrees... The banker says that Audrey is a wild card, and then asks about the date she had the other night with 4 men!!!

The banker calls back and puts the offer up to £20,000....

Should be higher of course but the banker obviously thinks her nerve will fail shortly.

Posted: Wed Feb 06, 2008 17:38
Noel says he has cracked it this time and Audrey will be out of here when the offer hits £30,000 :P The banker calls back and says they hit 30 years ago

Noel does a little sweep and it's all NO DEALS

Audrey says

NO DEAL

It would have been £30,000 a year ago! That shows you how tight Endemol have seemingly become since the summer...*cough cough*

This is the key round now says Noel

Jill next, but she says she is not sure about her box....

22 - £5 Jill

Justin next and Noel asks for the 1p or 10p from him

14 - £100,000 Justin

Oh no says Noel, I didn't want that one to go...

Audrey calls box 16 with Chris next, but Noel calls a break...

The £20,000 would have been almost acceptable as a Deal with the bottom six intact, although I'd have played on for sure.

Who thinks she was prodded into No Dealing by Noel? Anyone?

Eight-box Deal for an offer less generous than her fourteen-box offer methinks!

Noel reveals that next week is LOVE WEEK in the Dream Factory, and asks if we will find out if the banker has a heart....

When that £5 was found, I yelled! I thought we were in for another Daniel...until the £100,000 was found.

Still, if this one is £10,000 or lower, it should at least go up a little! A fantastic board at this stage!

And whether Noel does, come to that.

It's February 2006, but without Sequencegate (yay!), without the LTL (yay!) and without a compassionate host (boo, boo and again boo!).

To rub it in the Banker's face, she really needs to play on and ignore what I think have been a couple of p*sstake offers...yes the £20,000 offer after the second round was great but after that it was just derisory!

I'm feeling optimistic, and hope we get the all-blue round.

Noel talks about the recent run creating 3 new members of the 1p club... Audrey asks the audience and most say to play on...

Noel says he knows what Audrey is doing, and the 3 blues on the left are seducing her, as they look so easy to take out now...

Audrey says

DEAL

Box 17 - Paul - contains the £100

Posted: Wed Feb 06, 2008 17:59
That £26,000 offer...which regrettably would have been the amount I would have won today!

A little self belief goes a long way these days...even with a blue in your box you can recover :D

And then to cap it all off, even I would have suffered a big OBW today!!!

Well done on £15,000 Audrey - shame it wasn't more but it was a great game you gave us all! :D

Posted: Wed Feb 06, 2008 18:00
Damn. I resolved that whatever happened in today's game, I was going to the end. I would have won £75k. No-dealing regardless can be quite fun sometimes!

Noel had a ridiculous turn-around there: starting off by saying how easy it was to be seduced by the possibility of an all-blue round, and then shouting how disastrous it was when the 1p and 10p were revealed.

Posted: Wed Feb 06, 2008 18:04
I'm quite miffed off with Noel, he literally tells us what's in the box before its opened

Noel: Lets keep the power 5 block there until 8box and we'll get a huge offer

*£100,000 goes*

Noel: Oh please, please not the full disaster, she must go away with...

*£250,000 revealed*

Noel: WE MUST SEE THE £75,000!!!!!

*£75,000 in her box*

Besides Noel telling us its fixed, well done on £15,000 Audrey.

Clever editing, Aaron! Trust me, I've witnessed it - he's made plenty of predictions on boxes, and stuff similar, and if he was as good as correct they'd keep it in, and if not they'd edit it out.

If you're now thinking about Laura's game, I'm sure they kept it in for comedy!

Posted: Wed Feb 06, 2008 18:08
another wasted oppertunity.as Noel rightly said we need someone with courage to win the big money.well done Audrey you did win a fair amount.pity it was'nt the 75,000!

Well i actually enjoyed that show, Audrey was very lovely and i really wanted her to do well! When the board started to look very strong all i was thinking was a massive crash was coming up! But it wasnt to bad and was happy to see Audrey go away with £15,000!!

Well Done Audrey, Enjoy £15,000!

and on a side-note, am i the only person here who likes Noels attitude towards the game! If in proveout a blue goes i expect Noel to say, its not good enough! Hes not exactly going to say its ok is he when it clearly isnt!

Posted: Wed Feb 06, 2008 18:33
Hear hear! :D

Aaron, I suspect it's only done the way it is just to make it look like he is preparing us for a big moment, whether it be the £5 that was revealed before the break, or when the £250,000 was found, as you said Aaron!

Guess we'll never know...

I'm sure it is a legal requirement to have them displayed. There is one for 'Richard and Judy' too. It's there to convey that the companies have done wrong.

They put them on during the summers Big Brother last year about the Celebrity version. They only showed them 3 times so im guessing they wont show them for much longer!

Yup, it's three airings.

And I'd have done precisely the same as Audrey today. In fact, I'd go as far as to say it was the only approach for all but the most cautious, reckless or uncalculating players.

Posted: Wed Feb 06, 2008 20:01
If I hadn't had my "I'm going to the end regardless" day, in reality I would have won £26k. I just had a feeling that she was going to reveal the 1p and 10p, and keep the £75k - it just depended which other amount was revealed. Against a blue, though, I would have dealt at £26k.

Posted: Wed Feb 06, 2008 20:12
Oh dear!

On one hand, 15k is an excellent amount of cash, on the other to deal both too late and too early at the same time is to quote Audrey "gut-wrenching". If the game had been played this time last year, it would have been the first 5-figure OPL as the first offer would probably have been at least that!

Plus I think she played the game absolutely perfectly too - didn't give much away to the banker, ignored her friend's cautoius advice, ignored other people's feelings for boxes (such as Ben and Jill saying thay had big ones when they actually had 50p and £5), chased the big money by turning down poor offferswhen the board was great, got out when a lot of it had gone and became precarious (and the offer was a lot more respectable for the board), but you can't legislate for luck like that!

At least she avoided the all-power 5 finish in proveout! :)

Posted: Wed Feb 06, 2008 20:15
Hmm. £15,000 was about double what you might call "sensible", or maybe that's just because it looks higher than it is.

Anyway welldone Audrey on £15k. Was sort of a trainwreck except the offer was too high to signify a trainwreck.

Posted: Wed Feb 06, 2008 21:12
I was expecting a lot less than £15K at 5 box today. The banker could have really punished her.

Posted: Wed Feb 06, 2008 21:17

I was not expecting it to be Audrey today but she was awesome, a real nice lady who im sure will put £15,000 to good use.

Well theres this red logo saying 'ofcom office of communications' and theres this northern guy in the background saying 'we've fined dond 500,000 pounds and the callers thought they had a fair chance of winning whereas the chances were diminshed and unexisted. It's annoying.

Done it on Big Brother too. I miss CBB.

Can't fault the way she played it but Aaargh so close to the pretty large money and so similar to loads of games we've had lately!

And the 4th offer was rubbish - should have been 35K or something!

Posted: Thu Feb 07, 2008 10:33
An exciting game with Audrey, due to the fact that she managed to keep the power 5 in play for so long, which makes a change to see. However I thought the offer of £24,500 both times was too low for the board. I was at least expecting £26,000 - £30,000.

Part of me thinks they wanted Audrey to play on and not deal too early, hence the lower than expected offers at that stage.

Posted: Thu Feb 07, 2008 23:40
A good game there with Audrey, as she was a nice lady - but as is so often the case, the great first few rounds lead to a collapse. :( She didn't do too badly out of it though, and the offer she dealt was a good get-out point. However, the third and fourth offers should really have been higher than £24,500...
