Well Mark looks pretty pleased with himself actually... maybe he's the ventriloquist. He has something important to tell his wife-to-be in that case.

I'll belatedly join Jimbo's fan club.

I have liked Jimbo on the show but after finding out he lives in the same town as me I just had to join.

I've just watched his game yet again, I can promise you that when you're watching a friend's game go that way it's difficult to watch! He's a good lad and the money has helped him out a lot, I know he's disappointed but I just keep pointing out that if he'd taken out the £100k in the first box after he dealt it would be a hundred times more disappointing for him than knowing it was there all along.

An interview with Jimbo from my local paper :D

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A CHEF dished up a £10,000 treat on cult TV show Deal Or No Deal.

But it was a case of what might have been for James 'Jimbo' Daniel, who was in line for 10 times that amount.

For nearly a month, Jimbo has been a feature on the Channel 4 game show, in which contestants open sealed boxes and consider offers from the Banker as they try to scoop the £250,000 jackpot.

And on Saturday it was finally the 23-year-old's turn to make the 'walk of wealth' and play his game.

Jimbo, who lives in the Heronswood Road area of WGC, said: "I was really, really nervous.

"It's lonely up there. You've got your friends with you and the other contestants in the wings, but it's just you making the decisions."

The former Sir Frederic Osborn School student turned down offers ranging between £7,500 and £15,000, before eventually accepting £10,000.

But it transpired he was in line for a bumper pay out, as presenter Noel Edmonds revealed the contents of his box was £100,000 - the second highest amount.

Jimbo said: "I was absolutely cut up when Noel opened the box and revealed the £100,000.

"But I did what was best for me at the time. I didn't want to go away with nothing.

"The whole experience was amazing. All the contestants are so close together, just like a big family really.

"It's quite full on and emotional. I don't want to sound cheesy, but that's what it's like.

"You film three shows a day. Some people do well, some don't do well, so your emotions are always up and down."

On the show it was revealed Jimbo was a sous-chef at Tewin Bury Farm.

However, since filming he has left there, and now plans to use his winnings to go travelling in South America.
