Noel is recording Smarter Than a 10 Year Old? next week (Mon-Fri) for series 2. Sky have comissioned 25 episodes, since it's easter in Hertfordshire for the next two weeks. Noel will be recording 10, with the other 15 to be recorded in July. While Dick & Dom will be recording 10 for daytime (60 to be recorded in total) the week after.

Game shows never record their Christmas specials in summer time. I suspect they'll record the show and cover them to late November. Then they'll resume December recordings from late October onwards.

I have just booked for the two morning shows on Thursday April 24th.

I asked when they were finishing for the summer and it is the end of June. They will return as last year in October.

I was there on Friday, and I can confirm Statsman's table is correct

I saw the last recording of the day and it will be shown on the first saturday in September.

On Monday 12th May everybody was back to the studio (after a one week break) to record the shows for Monday 13th October, Tuesday 14th October and Wednesday 15th October.

I'm going again on Thursday 5th June - by then they should be well into November's recordings.

As ever I'll share the filming dates on return.

I think by then they'll be recording the last 3 shows in November - 27th, 28th and 29th, if I've calculated it right.

Lyndylou (Epiphany2) and myself are going down on Monday next week 19th.

I had a phone call this morning to say it will be Halloween.

I have purchased a long blonde wig, to look like Lyndylou, and we both have witches hats.

They record two in the afternoon and one in the evening on a Monday now. We will see two.

This is what I believe the recording/ transmission dates are up until the summer break. The number on the left is the recording date and the 3 dates on the right are the transmission dates. It does indeed confirm that next Monday's shows will include the Halloween special

SUMMER BREAK - RETURNS OCTOBER

Oooooh! Enjoy dressing up! I was fortunate to be wearing sunglasses and a sombrero for all three of my recordings, so nobody'll get to see my ugly mug on telly!

Recording the 20th December show on 13th June is quite ridiculous! I also assume they'll have the decorations up by then, so they'll have to put them up for a couple of days' recording, take them down again and put them up again for a day or two when they start back in October! Unless of course they just leave them up during the summer recording break...

Also, another thought - I wonder what's happening (if anything at all) with the Christmas Star specials this year? If they're going to have them at all, I think it'd be great if they put them as extra evening shows, so we got the normal shows in the afternoon and the specials in the evening, perhaps in a 1-hour slot...

I was told they would be recording some Christmas shows on the 12th and 13th June.

The audience team will be different when they come back in October so don't know whether there will be any specials this year.

When we went last November for the Christmas Stars they had recorded Valentines Day the week before.

I presume they will do a week of Halloween as they did last year. The studio will be decorated I was told so they won't do that for one day.

Times can vary, but this is what it is at the moment;

Arrive by midday so see two shows recorded at 12-15pm, then a new audience in by 5-00pm for a 5-15pm recording of just one show.

Quite often the two afternoon shows run late, meaning the 5-15 show gets delayed.

If you ask you can usually watch all 3 shows.

They do vary the times they record during the day. They used to record right up until 10pm at night, then they totally changed things and they did indeed start filming very early in the morning - about 8:30am for a 9am start, with a latest finish of 5pm. Seems as though they've changed it again according to what garylq said.
