The atmosphere in the studio doesn't seem to be that of a 'normal trainwreck' - everyone seems quite calm - probably because Adam and his brother have been saying "It's fine" etc. to every number that goes! It's certainly making for a different style of trainwreck at least.

Adam says he is so happy now, and wonders if the banker will offer him the £20,000 again!! :-D The banker says he is now putting Adam's photo in the frame to join the 1p club!!! The banker asks to speak to Adam, and Adam tells him he doesn't want to go home with the 1p and asks for a good offer.... Adam tells Noel that the banker offered him £9,000  Adam says no it's really £2,000, followed by no not really it's £4,000... Noel has no idea what the offer is now...

Banker offers

£2,000

Poor, poor guy.

The atmosphere just died in that room when noel opened that box. Was so, so cruel the way it all ended.

That 'Not gonna happen' summary at the end hit me really hard back in March.

:(

Anyway, top bloke and he enjoyed his time there so!

Don't forget that 2 days ago he was the one with the £250,000.

I thought they'd be doing a matchplay for Father's Day.

Shame about Adam winning 1p. :|

Ouch, ouch, ouch. That reminded me of Dave's E's game, where he still had the 50k in play at 8-box and was offered just over a grand after a bad round - couldn't possibly be taken, then a last 5 with 10k and 4 worthless blues!

And another amazing coincidence - Adam had the same last pair as Connell, and the 1p was in Box 7 both times. And in Connell's game, who orginally had the 1p? It was.....Adam (1).

Weird that there was no evidence of a swap being offered - I know enough about the show now that it would have been edited out, as it's always given with 1p in play according to Noel, especially when the other box is a significant red...I can only think they left it in as they wanted to keep Adam's jokes about the offer in and wouldn't have had time otherwise!

Really need a revenge game tomorrow!

Gutted for Adam to win 1p. :? But
he is one the the best contestants ever, and I think
he has a lot going for him and will go far.

20K was clearly a very generous offer at 11 box for the board
but it is too early too deal to make a good show and I think
that must have been in Adam's mind.

From 11 box to 8 box just a 27.8% chance of picking out the 250K,
so very unfortunate.

Despite offering cautious advice to the other contestants,
Adam showed a lot of courage and character.

All hail member 11th of the 1p club and the banker didnt even offer a swap (On screen anyway)LOL evil.
Unlucky Adam but you got plenty of time to make money your only 23. =)

I knew the result in advance and the way he won it was just how I imagined he got a bit more money happy when in the chair and took gambles and the cautious streak went out the window.

I wasn't too sure what to make of Adam to be honest - I think Noel hit the nail on the head when he said Adam was on the right side of cockiness - as it was just on the line and he certainly wasn't an Andy K character - Andy K was cocky and arrogant but managed to pull it off and scare the banker in the process, whereas Adam didn't really seem to be one thing or the other.

The whole game was a bit odd really, as as I said earlier, the atmosphere seemed different from a normal trainwreck. Nonetheless, it was an interesting game and there were definitely some interesting tactics coming through from both Adam and the banker - so well done to him for playing the game in a unique and interesting style.

I knew this result last month, but it was still a shock he turned down £20,000 on a poor board, and then completely crash and burn.

I can't believe he turned down the £20,000... I really expect Adam of all people to take it. I definitely would've dealt there...

:(

Oh well, you were great anyway Adam! :D

I also knew about the 1p spoilers, and so knew the outcome.

I'm sorry but Adam got completely what he deserved. Turning down £20,000 on that board was completely greedy and foolish. He got exactly what he deserved. I know that he had the determination to go to the end, which is kind of the best attitude to have so you can't have any regrets, but that was simply wreckless and completely unneccessary. Enjoy your PENNY Adam, HAHA.

Sorry. I had to say it.
