It's a 1 box game now! :?

Round 5 Stats
Boxes left: 5
Mean: £15,202.10
Offer: £4,500
Offer (%): 29.60%
Fair Deal: £3,830.46
Volatility: 74.22
Redometer: -16 (↓1)

Same logic as last time but this is low low and so its worth taking the risk in my opinion.

Box 5 continues its run of big reds! £100k yesterday, £250k today!

Also, Eric's box was Box 15 (not 13) with the £750.

Well there are two ways of looking at that really:

1) That absolutely *beep* sucks, Pippa was quite literally one of the best people ever and should have won loads more...especially as she was much much much much much better than Dave. I despise Deal or No Deal.

2) One of the best players ever ended up winning 50p! That rocks! I love Deal or No Deal.

I think I'm leaning towards 1, but at least I have 2 to provide me with a bit of comfort...

Today's game summed it up once again.

As I've said before. Those who "play the game" don't win much. Unless they are bluffing.

See, now while Adam's advice on dealing does tend to get repetitive, I do think he was entirely sensible today. Had Pippa got a back-up of £15k or so, that would be reason enough to go on, but the board was so unstable with such a gap. Unfortunate that it turned out that way, though.

Well, not really. They can also win loads if the boxes go their way. And I don't think Pippa gambled too much today really...the fourth offer was a tricky call and she just had bad luck/a really really *beep* fifth offer after that.

When Daddy Dennis told Billy and I there was another 50p winner I honestly did not expect it to be this soon, and it wasn't mentioned when we were up for a filming I thought it was ages away

I thought it'd be Juliah when she had 50p in the final two, but luckily she won £250. A real shame that it was Pippa, though, I thought she was going to win really big. Really great bravery in the third part, sometimes (like in cases like Rodney) it pays off but really unluckily didn't today.

So far this week we've had big win, small win, big win and now a small win, so continuing the pattern hopefully tomorrow's player does well!

Aww Pippa was really sweet... this just reminds me of Juliah's game. A really nice person gets a crappy sum :( Oh well, you were great Pippa!! :D

That was just a really unlucky game, while it was a gamble to go on at 8-box it's just as difficult to deal for an amount like that with the £250,000 in play.

So the 50p club finally gets another member, and also the first winner of under £5 since 1p Tony!

At last somebody who said they were there to play the game - and did!

The £16,500 offer was a tester and provided an ideal opportunity for the 'dealer' to duck out but with the £75k and £250k and plenty of blues to aim at it was well worth a punt for the gambler.

The message on the card from the kids summed up my feelings about outside interference. 'To Mum, Good luck, keep calm and play your game and no-one elses'. She did.

Unfortunately it all unravelled for this brave lady. But she took the knock with cool dignity and no histrionics and gets my full respect for that.

On a different day she would have walked away with a fortune. Alas today was not her day.

A very sad day, Pippa was pleased with the way she played and like she said on the show and after, she played her game and no-one elses. I wish she had won so much more.
