Let's have a BIG cheer for the end of the "My best friend" line!

What is the next character trait he is going to invent?

What a great game!! I know some people probably think it's too silly/distracts from the actual game but I'm loving all the stuff Noel is doing with the people on the wings, and I found the "best friend" stuff funny too. Phil had been starting to annoy me with his advice so I'm glad he played today as I really liked him...he did a great job of bluffing the Banker; I was convinced he was going to the end too! £35k sounded pretty ridiculous but even if it was genuine he didn't miss out on too much...I'd certainly rather be in his position than Theresa's!

I really enjoyed that game too. That board was actually quite dangerous, it wasn't really a cautious deal. I would have taken it myself.

I'm also liking the banter between Noel and the contestants. Deal or No Deal really is a lot better than it was a month or so ago.

That was a great game with a wise deal at almost the right time off a dangerous board, the 'best friend' stuff was funny. I totally agree with 22 DOND is alot better than a month or so ago!

Also some of the comments about Phil earlier in this thread were horrible and uncalled for.

I don't think I said anything too bad, just I had a feeling that I thought he was a "play on to the end regardless" player, and was completely wrong, and I respected him a lot more for dealing. I'd like to think that the hypo £35k was inflated, but in terms of percentage of the mean, it was similar to Theresa's offer at the same stage (with lower volatility), so it's not totally unbelievable, so I agree that it might have gone over £26k, but not by very much.

When he mentioned his wife was called Laura, I expected him to have the £250,000, as extreme irony! :)

And why wouldn't he have dealt 26p? That would have been the coolest sum ever, and instead of Noel's best mate, he would have been Geordie's!! :-D

What a wuss No respect for dealing there theres 3 above It I hope hes punished now and the 250k is in his box - I find these people really weedy when theres clearly alot more in it.
If he only had 250k left or something then thats fine but he had too much back up.
Theres cautious dealing and theres down right cowardice this was the latter and the interfering old lady (sorry don't know her name off hand) on the wings saying think of your family probably threw him too.

But surely you can understand why he dealt? I'm not condemning your views in any way here, I just find it hard to understand how you can get so angry because he dealt when £26,000 was obviously alot of money to him and his family. Yes he could have won more but that's all very well saying that in hindsight. What if it went the other way round and he did the perfect deal and beat the Banker? I doubt many people would say he was a wuss then.

Anyway, I too like the banter between the contestants at the moment, there were alot of it between Rita, Kirsty, Gaz and the newbie! We're getting to see abit more of their personalities coming through, without the need for gimmicks, which I like to see - the only thing I didn't like was the 'best friend stuff' that was a bit over the top, although I have to admit, the picture was quite funny! All in all, it wasn't a bad game...welldone Philip, enjoy £26,000! :D

Hmm.. I caught the beginning and the end of this game, (I turned on and saw £1 vs. 10p and I saw Phil smiling so I thought "this must be good"). Well done Phil! I don't think I'll have time to watch the M4 showing but well done on a victory over the banker :D

Well that was a classic case of "Wakey gets in the chair and turns into KP"... I really thought he was going to really get punished for it like Steven last month. If only he'd gone one round further, or found the £250,000 one box earlier, it would have been one of the classic OPW's!

But as it turned out there wasn't a lot more in the game anyway, and always great to see one of those absolute peanuts final pairs after the deal - well done Philip!

That was a bit odd! Philip was a bit like a glorified cheerleader during his time on the wings so I probably would have waged my mother on him not being a third offer dealer... Shows what I know...

Fair play to him for managing to convince the Banker that he was an absolute 'No Dealer' during his time on the wings but I hope his postive 'spin' didn't unduly influence any other player into carrying on where they might not have done otherwise, especially now it seems as if he had no intention of doing so himself. Still, 26k is not to be sniffed at.
