I've never seen this one. Should be good, but I do know everything that happens.

If that board was around tomorrow, the offer would be about £13,000!

How many opening offers have been higher than £8,500 now?

P.S. Is the audio dipping when there's clapping?

There was a commentary on this, but I thought it'd be interesting to do a brief summary here and compare the banker's offers back then to how they are today!

2 - £5

8 - £100

14 - £20,000

4 - £1,000

20 - newbie Cathy  - £3k

The offer was £8,500... Noel says it's the 2nd highest offer ever - I think things have changed a bit since then!

Oh good! A new voiceover!

Maybe they should implement a similar idea to the More4 repeats as even though there is a massive 'COMPETITION CLOSED' caption on the screen I bet some people still call :D

Over where the LTL voiceover normally is, Alex Lovell announces that this is a repeat and that over the coming weeks, we will be able to vote on the Channel 4 Deal Or No Deal website for what classic episodes of DOND we want to see!

Matt no dealt his opening offer and his second round was:

3 - 10p

7 - £10k

19 - 1p

And the offer was £16,000, which he no dealt.

Noel has a "?" symbol on his hand...

It's nice to see this game, where it is just a basic game with no gimmicks, apart from the odd firefighter joke from the banker - what with Matt being a 25-year-old firefighter!

This was the first game with a symbol on Noel's hand... wasn't it?

It's nice to see some familiar faces there!

Round three was:

16 - 50p

21 - £10

10 - £750

They were getting very excited over the all-blue round, as Matt had the entire Power 5 intact at this stage! After Noel yelling at the banker and the banker throwing the phone down in disgust, he phoned back and offered £22,500 - which they get excited about - a second offer of that wouldn't be rare these days!

The banker made some jokes about his game sliding down the fireman's pole!

Matt no dealt the £22,500 - an offer which is actually quite low for the board, especially by the standards of today's banker!

The fourth round was...

6 - £50,000

Incidentally, NO blue chanting! Yay! The box opening drone music provides the tension and drama perfectly... hence why it's there and I think the blue chanting nowadays is totally unnecessary.

12 - £50

Noel calls a break at this point saying it'll be a miracle if it's £15k or less.

15 - CHEESEMAN - £500!!!

The banker offered at this point £20,000! Matt says it's still a good offer despite the audience groaning and Noel saying he's not joking - it's an offer which is small compared to today's standards! Matt no dealt the offer.

The original Bother's Bar commentary on this game is interesting, that revealing of the quarter million after that poor offer led a member of this forum to make the statement "The Banker knows what's in the boxes"...

The fifth round was...

18 - £5k

9 - £100k

They are all holding hands...

22 - BOB FIND THE POUND BOB - £250k

Offer - £10,000 - the bong bong sad music starts playing...

Matt no dealt.

11 - Lucy has £75k

1 - £1

13 - £250 - everyone silent, then everyone cheers and bangs the wings!

Leaving a board of £15k vs £35k.

Noel said he wouldn't want to predict this...

The banker offered £22,450, as the banker is looking for the moral victory, as Matt's highest offer was £22,500.

Kirsty said if he'd be happy with £15k, then he should gamble, so he no deals.

Matt stood in front of the gameboard, and all the other contestants formed a line and all held hands with him.

No swap offer from the banker.

The audience all stood up and joined hands... leaving Noel at the pound table to reveal, in his box 5...

£35,000!!!

To complete the game, 17 had £15,000.

Noel hugs Matt and let him keep the £35,000 card from the box - the first time he'd ever done that.
