Well, along with Noel or No Noel (which I spotted!!), this might be an April 1 speciality.

Or maybe not...

Great game today! Well done!

Now that is a good spot, whether or not it's true or not I'm not sure. Can see it being a bit of April tomfoolery methinks.

What a really great show! Steve won a decent amount and gave us a bit of comedy along the way. I'm WELL glad he dealt when he did. I was shouting DEAL at the TV- he must have heard me! ;) :-D

Noel's exchanges with Pat cracked me up. I can't wait until her game! :-D :-D

YES! I spotted Noel or no Noel too- AND the Banker being 'Richard Oldman'. Is that the Banker's REAL name, or an April Fools wind-up? I also spotted the £ hand symbol.....

:-D

Short for Richard is Dick.....and since Oldman is like saying "Old Man"....maybe they meant it to say Dick Old Man

Yes! I just worked it out and posted excitedly in the April Fool thread. You beat me to it. Unless someone else has mentioned it too and I've not seen it!

Clever joke though!

 :-D

It was great that Steve went away with the £7,000, it nearly went all so wrong until he pulled it around with that round of 3 blues just before the last offer. :D

There were some great comedy moments, especially with Pat :-D Think there could be some good exchanges between Pat and Noel until she plays :D

Infact both the Pats seem great laughs - looks as though there are going to be some fun games ahead of us :D

That offer of £1,305 really was a joke, it was quite rightly described as crap, and may as well have been 50p - who would deal for that amount with a possible £35k out there? Okiem got offered £2,500 with the same final five and I thought that was bad at the time.

The game is called "Deal or No Deal", not "go on to the end regardless", and while nobody wants to see lots of early deals, the banker's job is to make testing offers which give the player something to think about (from offer 3 onwards at least).

Maybe the Banker thought Steve would take a low deal after having just watched Lucy and Janet's games - they have to be careful though that the offers don't get so mean that they may as well just give them the contents of their box at the start!
