I'm pleased it was the £100 in the end!! He had so much courage and should have been rewarded for it!

Maybe that game and that of Craig will remind a few players on the wings that the consequences of No Dealing can be ugly as well as beautiful? It'll need to, because it's sure not going to influence Noel or the pilgrims. I'd have taken the third offer, it was well above the value of a poor board.

What a shame that personality and good grace is not always rewarded in DoND.
On the up side though, Dennis has now become one of the few members of the 'Buy a hat and eat it' club.
Very exclusive club that is.

Bad luck Don, you deserved to win more. I would have taken £10,050.

This is what happens when you have no faith in box 4!

Seriously though, poor Don. He was a decent chap.

I really liked Don, and his positive attitude to the game, but that was somewhat unfortunate to have a trainwreck, but I'm pleased that the banker being nasty wasn't the reason for it. It was Tingler John all over again!

He turned down some great offers! I'd have scarpered at 8 box for £10,050 with only £35k and £50k higher - you're more likely to take out at least one of them, and you saw how the offer went way down on a one box game at 5 box (and even that was higher than a lot of 35k/4 blues scenarios we've seen, they're usually about 2k). I doubt most people would deal anything that's not exessively high in that situation, I wouldn't even consider anything under 5k!

I had a feeling he was just in it for the experience rather than the money, so if someone has to have a trainwreck, I'd prefer it to be in circumstances like that. I don't think he was even thinking of dealing at any point, so good on him, but that makes it less exciting in my opinion.

And he didn't even get the chance to deal for a comedy sum at the end, I'd have felt cheated to be offered a blue box amount! :)

Congrats for being such a great contestant Don!

What a shame, Don seemed a great guy. I really wanted his attitude to be rewarded. He never stopped smiling.

For his exemplary range of ties alone, Don deserved a bit better...

Seems as if the current crop are intent on 'doing a Laura' and to go all the way to the end regardless. Somewhere in Grimsby, there will be a very, very happy Wakey... :D

Just caught the last 10 on YouTube. All I can say is that it was a very cool game, not only with Don's wonderful attitude but the speech Noel made to him at the end about how he loved his attitude. Sorry you didn't win more, Don, but I'm glad that you had an enjoyable time!

How many times has Bunney had £15,000 (and how many shows has been on for?)? And how many times has Andrew had £50,000?

It's a shame Don didn't go away with alot more, but I liked his optimistic approach, he took it well.

Well done Don on playing the game your way - it was nice to see that old picture at the beginning - it added an extra element to the show! You had a good go at your game and weren't put off by the banker's tactics of sticking three times in a row, as well as his reminders about needing money for the wedding anniversary by sticking "50" on the end of every offer!

Enjoy the £100, and I hope you and your wife, Crystal, have a very happy 50th wedding anniversary in March!
