Well done Frank on winning £36,126, a good balance of courage and caution to comprehensively beat the banker. I'm surprised at the number of contestants who said they would no deal at the 5 box stage. I can't help thinking that if they were sat in the chair not so many would have no dealt in that scenario.

Well done frank nice to see a fellow scouser beating the banker

I also agree with rico I think that some of the contestants may have just said no deal to try to encourage him to go on I don't think they would of said it if they were in that situation

I hope Bunney plays early, I don't think I could stick too much of him.

Could the supposed No Dealers actually be acting to either appear more reckless than they are so the Banker makes better offers when they play? Or could they be saying No Deal fearing the wrath of Noel if they don't? The latter is far from inconceivable, especially after the way he started today's show...

Fabulously comic flawed system, but who cares about how he selected them? They produced one heck of a game.

And Bunney is going to be one to watch for sure, I have a feeling he might well be genuinely frightened and acting strangely is his way of dealing with it.

Good show with a good result. Well done Frank on winning £36,126. It started off bad but luckily you pulled it back and got out of there before it fell apart.

I found it amusing that the wife of the first contestant of 2007 had the same name as the first contesatnt of 2006.... :-D

But, wow, what a game! The only way that could have been better was if the £36,126 offer had included pence! ;-)

That really was courage rewarded - I would have considered going at the thrid offer for 8 grand there, I wouldn't have been confident of keeping the last two sizeable reds, the £50k and QM intact for two whole rounds! I actually thought he might have turned down the £36k given the fact that he'd just about given his wife a stroke in turning down the £18k, but luckily he didn't! And every offer was a multiple of £2,007. :)

And a great comedy system - I wonder what would have happened if Box 1 had contained 1p for instance, he'd have been totally stuck!

Well done Frank!

I get the system, if he takes out the 1p, his next box will be box 1 as the one penny is the first box, 10p would make him pick box 2, if box 2 contains £750, his next box will be box 11 because £750 is the 11th box, and so on so if he chooses a box, the next box will be the number where it is on the board

Hope this helps

Canny system...but why did Frank start with box 17? :?

Was there a significance in it being that £20k - the seventeenth box - is the one that has been at the Pound Table most often?

If that was planned, which actually I doubt it was, that's genius.

Still, who cares? £36,126 is mad money in more ways than one. A way better start to the year than Irene produced with four of the Power 5 in the first round of 2006...

Well done Frank on your £36,126 win - the right deal at the right time - a great banker beating! :D Haha, I also liked your system - very unique! And your name badge seemed to be having fun too throughout the game - slipping down at first and then re-appearing upside down.
