I notice on the final offer, Noel said the banker said Wrighty was Santa Claus!

I think it's only right that I re-post my DOND advent calendar pic for 23rd December... ;)

And in box 23...

Well Done Wrighty

You did very well. I enjoyed watching the show. It was great with everyone singing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas"

Enjoy £32,000 Wrighty Well Done.

Congratulations on a great game and a great banker beating Wrighty!! :D

Shame about the half-million going so early so we didn't get the seriously high offers later on....tomorrow maybe.

As a conventional £250,000 game it was a fab one! I really wanted him to do well, and you could see what the £32k meant to him! Though I actually thought it was a pretty poor offer myself. Nev was offered £41k without the £100k (he had £50k instead), and Khanny was offered £48k with a poorer safety net. I was urging him to no-deal and how wrong was I? No-dealing £32k would, however, meant you would have to resist chasing losses if you take out the big one though, which a lot of people would struggle to do. Do well done Wrighty would having the courage to say "Deal" when the money became too much to lose!

And just a thought: since Claudine's game, it seems she used up all the women's luck. Females since have won £5, £10, £1,500 and £2,400 (selling a £50k box in the process. Yes I know about the extras!).

Men have won £12k, £25k, £10k and £32k, three of which were OPWs and the other a TPW.

Hope this luck changes for Joey's game (but still holds for the men , obviously)! :)

Hurrah! That's what a Christmas show should be! Fantastic game - I thought the £32k offer was pretty low, but I'm so glad it turned out to be the perfect decision to take it. Well done Wrighty!

And that was one of the best games in ages even after the £500k went near the start...which is why I wish they wouldn't bother with these extra things. The extra offers towards the end annoyed me too...just keep it simple!

I was in the audience for Wrighty's game and came out of there almost believing that it was Christmas Day, fantastic game, fantastic contestant, and thank you Wrighty, for an absolutely lovely day out. XXXXX

That better not be a spoiler about who plays tomorrow, James!

But anyway, wow, what a show. With Danny and Joey having both told us how much of a legend Wrighty is in the chatroom, I was really willing him on to do well, and when they were doing the little contestant interviews at the start I knew it was going to be him immediately. Was terrified that the £500k was gonna go in the first round...ok, so it went in round 2, but he kept the other three biggies there.

Wrighty, really, really well done on that £32,000! After the sadness of Rachel's game earlier, a perfect game is exactly what we needed on Christmas Day. A big OPW for a big legend!

It's just a musing, Billy - I just think she'll be the next female to play due to her being there so long, but I could be wrong!

Would be funny if everyone loved someone who had only been there 3 or 4 games and they'd been picked! :)

What a great game! In a bizarre kind of way, I was quite glad that the £500000 went quite early as I felt the longer it stayed, the more the occasion was likely to overshadow Wrighty himself, if that makes any sort of sense... :?

But, after that, he played it perfectly - a superb result for a top bloke.

As many have said before, I wouldn't be a fan of the £500000 appearing permanently - Wrighty had a pretty good start (no more than that really) and was faced with a £24000 offer almost immediately. A less ambitious player could have quite easily taken that and run and, however a good decision that might turn out to be, the rest of the game isn't going to make for fascinating television.

What's more, all but one of the games played by female players in December have been OBWs. The only one that wasn't was Wendy's, and even then it was a pretty big TBW. :?

I saw the 50p slide off the TV game-board just before he chose box 18... and box 18 had it.

We had a little competition going in our house, last night, before each box was opened we had to guess the amount in it, I was the only one to notice it and gained myself an extra quid :P

It was an excellent game, that got my whole family hooked on DOND!
