Bit of a shame but he's probably delighted with his 20k. Im sure he'd have loved that amount before his game.

It's not going to be often 3 of the 5 Horsemen are going to be left at the end. But he looked like he was happy with the £20k, which is still a tidy sum, so hats off to the Chesseman

Think he was delighted with the £20k, as he said he's never had that amount in his bank account before.

I think everyone would be a little gutted knowing if you went on you could get more, but how often have they stood there and seen someones game fall apart on the very next round.

£20k is fabulous !! That would be a dream for me and therefore I woudl have been very very tempted to deeal at that point - but I was shouting no deal at him. But fair enough him dealing, as that is a very safe amount of money :)

I always think like this.. If they deal, and it turns out they dealt too early and would have got a better offer, even if they had not dealt, it may not have gone like that anyway.
They wouldn't necessarily have opened the boxes in the same order!

I agree.

Ive seen lots of games crumble towards the end, even when the board seems great. Its heartbreaking.

It takes a very serious decision to gamble 20grand, and i dont know many that would. I certainly would have taken the cash at that point.

Dave was a nightmare to keep under control, but he had a heart of gold, and i hope he has enjoyed every penny. Nice people deserve good things.

Another day, another good deal!!!

What a GREAT character Dave was! He was a jolly good sport and I don't blame him at all for dealing when he did- I'd have done the same. As Gazza said, many a board has turned bad near the end after looking so strong and it is so heartbreaking to see that happen.

Well done, Dave, you gave us a great game. You really should have danced with JT though!

 :-D :-D

The 20K was a wise deal FOR HIM.

He was saying that he's hardly had any money ever, so I knew he would deal at 20 grand.
Still a great game.

I stood next to Dave for a couple of games and yes, he sure could talk for England but he wouldnt hurt a fly. I know I am thrilled to bits with my 20k and I am absolutely sure Dave will be too, even if his box contained £49,999 more than mine!!!!! The fact that Dave didnt need advice and decided to deal says it all. Yes, he could have gone on for more but hindsight is a wonderful thing, as we have all said before. Well done Dave :D :D :D
