Alasdair's game was the best this week IMO! Good on him for dealing at £23,500, I'd have chanced it for the 75k at that point.

That was a hell of a recovery. I was quietly confident he was going to 'do a Gaz' and go all the way to the end and reveal a huge amount but luckily he knew when to stop and got out at the right time.

Nice to have 3 of the last 4 games as outright Banker thrashings! :D

She's never had it, Zeddie.

Well done Alasdair! I would have gone to the end and swapped.

Can't guarantee the swap. That's the kicker. ANd the Banker knows it.

Rule of thumb: if you've got a good 'un and a tiddler, and the offer isn't completely Eartha Kitt, deal.

Well, I think you can, really...the only times he definitely hasn't offered it have been when it would be irrelevant (i.e. a £1/£5 final two, or something like that), and if someone specifically asked for a swap I doubt he'd refuse to offer them one.

Not that it makes any difference...I'd definitely have gambled there, too. £5k isn't really a "tiddler", it would be a decent consolation, and he stood to win a hell of a lot more than he stood to lose.

Great game, that had everything! I was disappointed when he dealt, becuase I had a strong feeling he had the £75k, but it was good to be proved wrong! I'd like to think (but don't know), that being guaranteed £5k I would have gone for it, there have been many higher offers than £23.5k on a £75k/blue finish which me knowing the game like I do would have annoyed me somewhat!

But after knocking out 3 of the power5 in the opening round, that's still a fabulous result, and you an't scoff at an OPW (after the dearth of them between Rhona's and Harry's games, the players are really making up for that now!). The banker deserved to be beaten the last couple of days as well, due to some of his tactics!

Congratulations Alasdair!

Well done Alasdair. Just goes to show you that even if you have a bad start you can still make a recovery and win a lot of money. Well done.

Well done on your £23,500 - a great game for a great player, and an OPW!

Allisdair. I would like to thank you with all my heart. You did a great thing today (or months ago, whenever you filmed it) as you portrayed the red-haired student youngster in the best way possible. :D A run of seven blues, dealed at the perfect time and kicked the bankers butt! Perhaps now I shall strike fear into his heart should I appear on the show in January!!
