The banker would have offered £230, Mark says he would have had a sweep for that :P

Noel opens box 5 and reveals £100 :D

Box contains the £500

Welldone Mark! £23,000 was a fantastic offer for that board, I would have taken it too! :D

I hope he sticks to his word though and gives Lisa a grand...

Woo, that was a fantastic proveout...well done Mark! I'd have gone at £23k too - I had absolutely no idea what that offer was going to be, seeing as the Banker's offers for that situation in the past have ranged from £9,500 all the way to £47,000! No mention of Lisa, though, which was a bit disappointing.

Great deal Mark, the right deal because you had taken out the insurance
of the 35K. You won his respect too as the offer has been lower before
with the kind of board you had. :)

Ironic that a Mark played last year at this time! (Imagine if he had £500 in his box, even more irony)

:x Did anybody else get the impression that Noel was pushing Mark to go on at the 5-box stage? He seemed to jump on anyone who advised him to be careful.

Yeah, like all of us Noel wants to see the first jackpot winner. I'm thinking that if Mark hadn't taken out the 35K he might have gone on.

Yeah, like all of us Noel wants to see the first jackpot winner.

That was about the most Wakeyesque speech I've ever heard from Noel though... soon he will be calling them a coward and shouting "Blue! Blue!" when they deal!

Anyway he made the right decision as it turns out, had he no-dealt he would have joined Lisa in the £100 club - hope she got her £1,000, making a promise like that to an unlucky player seems to ensure a decent game, like Andy K and JT in the past!

Mark 'The Gambler' played an excellent game by having a near all blue round at the start.

I can't wait to see Howard's 'The Bankers Pet' Game, as the Banker said his first offer on Howard's Game would be the highest ever, no matter what he takes out! Should be interesting!

Luckily Mark dealt when he did and he did so in the best way possible by beating the banker!! Well Done Mark!

Well the highest ever opening offer is £20,000 I think... so if he was unfortunate enough to take out the entire power 5 at the start, the Banker would have to offer him the same as the highest remaining box to keep his promise! :-D

Great show, really enjoyed it.

Does anyone think that DOND feels a lot "fresher" since they had their break?

Yeah, and he was also talking a load of rubbish...it wouldn't have been the biggest Banker victory ever if he'd had the £250k in his box; that would still have been Debbie's game. Even Natalie, the first person to have it, dealt for less!
