So was it just me that thought Noel rubbed it in a bit?

I'm not sure he did really, I mean I've seen him do much worse when a contestant has dealt too early... in fact, at one point, I thought Noel was going to cry! :? :( :|

Maybe I'm mistaken, but it did look like he had a bit of a tear in his eye.

So he had a tear in his eye....I didn't see that...I thought his negativity was a bit annoying. OK, he was just presenting a TV show but I don't think he was very postitive at all. Maybe he's been criticised for being too positive when he's meant to stay neutral, I don't know. But there was something I didn't like about him today and it made me turn off the TV before the hugs at the end!

What I mean is really, do you think it made her feel better when he kept saying "this is the worst game we've ever had" or "the unluckiest contestant in a while"?

Well, he wasn't positive at all because it was such a *beep* game. :? I didn't think he rubbed it in...he didn't criticise any of Lisa's decisions, just said how unlucky she'd been. Which she was!

I know, I know. Maybe it was one of those situations where no one knows what to say. I would have just given her hugs, but that doesn't make for a very good TV presenter!

No but it is really hard for him

Sometimes even the most innocent remark or joke or statistic from Noel will heap more pain on the player than he can imagine

He is in a no win situation because it is all live and everything he says is mulled over.

All I know is that I have looked into his eyes and thought this really uncomfortable for him....

It doesnt make you feel better.......nothing can at the time

BUT it is the human thing to say

We would all try to comfort someone who is seeing their dreams evaporate

The contestants do that in the hotel every time there is a bad game and it is harder than you can think

I agree with you Geordie, it must be quite hard for him..... I'd like to know whether Noel's ever commented on how he feels when a contestant doesn't do very well and if it feels difficult for him.

Awww, such a shame Lovely Lisa didn't win a huge amount of money.

Still, I loved her dance early on in her show and best of all, I REALLY loved Noel's link into the first break:

Spiky, put your left hand on the box and break the seal. Oh, did I say break? BRILLIANT, I was so pleased that Noel said that I whooped!!! :-D :-D :-D
Lisa's dance was great, and it was a long overdue humorous link into the break by Noel!

Well, we've had games that have never got off the ground and ones where people have taken big gambles and lost, but for relentless bad luck in the second half of the game there can't have been many like that.

After turning down that third offer - which I thought she was going to deal at one stage - she took out at least the two biggest remaining in every round. Even when £750 and £500 became honorary reds they went as well!

A real shame for Lisa as she was obviously so popular on the show. At least you can do something with £100 unlike the lower blues, and good to see Mark doing a "JT" at the end there, let's hope he wins big when he gets in the chair!

NO! God, I hate this game sometimes, all my favourites seem to do rubbish!

I haven't wanted someone to do well as much as I did for Lisa in a long time, she was my sort of woman, I absolutely adored her. I knew Box 16's luck had to run out sometime though, but I thought she was on for a big win up until that horrible round. :(

Once the £15,000 had gone (the last decent red), I wanted her to be the first winner of £750, and when that had gone, I wanted her to win the 50p. She would have been a hero in my eyes if she had got 50p, but it wasn't to be :(

Sorry if that sounds horrible, but I doubt anyone would get much comfort in winning £100!

I actually thought it would be Harry's turn today, and what did he have in his box? £100,000. Tax free as well. I bet when he plays, he'll have something rubbish as well!

Oh, and please let Mark win a huge sum, it'll be justice if he does!

If Harry plays next, I think he could well be the first person to deal at the second offer - always thought it possible and even more so if his game was filmed just after that!

Or even the first.

Hahaha, it'll be hilarious if he comes out and turns out to be the biggest gambler ever now...

1p and £250,000 remaining... Banker offers £125,000. "Well, if I win 1p, it's still tax-free... NO DEAL!" :-D
