Wow that game had me on the edge of my seat! Barbara is one gutsy lady to turn down £22,000 with £1,000 and £100,000 left! Despite it being a rubbish offer I would of taken that, it was too much of a risk. I was very disappointed when Noel revealed £1,000. I actually felt sad for her and I don't usually get that upset, I really thought she was going to win £100,000. Welldone though Barbara - It's takes people like her, to go on and win that £250,000. :D

everyone was gathering around the tele at brewers fayre! it was well good

Would definitely have done the same - swap included. (My rationale is that the game is not entirely fair, the Banker does know the box values, and that if I've been given six offers low enough to force me to the big ending there can only be one reason for it - having a low sum in my own box.)

An extraordinary game, ruined for me not so much by the ending (which, while incredibly painful, at least killed off the 'Banker knows what's in the box' theory for me) as the sense that it was almost completely staged, setting up a big finish for the first proper Sunday show artificially, when the game is quite dramatic enough as it is most of the time.

...maybe they wanted a six-figure win. Maybe this DOESN'T kill off the theory after all, it just makes it useless for strategic purposes because the focus assuming an unfair game is now not on minimising the final payout but on manipulating who wins and who doesn't...

...still. One hell of a game and I'm only speculating regarding the fairness of it. Fair or not, this is an immensely entertaining game.

I was so gutted for Barbara yesterday - sorry it's now "old" news. I felt convinced that she was going to end up with all blues, and did really well to end up with the £1,000 and £100,000.

Barbara demonstrated such bravery to go on after the final offer - the only problem was the swap. BUT as Barbara said, it was her decision, which you have to respect. She played her game the way she wanted.

Well done on an excellent game Barbara - really sorry you didn't win more.

What a great game! I know I'm a day out of date but I can only use the internet Monday to Friday. I was so gutted that she lost out on the £100,000 right at the end.

Personally, I don't think I would have swapped, although I can see her reasons for doing so.

She was a really entertaining character who played the game the way she wanted and deserved a lot more than she got.

I feel the same - really sorry for her. I would never swap, regardless of numbers - I'd much rather settle for never having had the big money than the sick feeling of having given it away.

I felt the vibe was good for box 7 with the fuss being made of it never having held a big number while on the table - KP may be right that the Banker does know and that they maybe wanted the big win. It would explain the really tight £22K final offer - I was sure it would be £30-37K.
