Bad answer for box 23 :(

Three who would deal at £40,000 on box 23... yeah right as if they really would.

Excellent result from good luck and understandable decisions. Hopefully he won't have too many regrets. :smt023

Missing out on the contents of box 11 & 23. (Thankfully it didn't have DOUBLE...)

If someone was brave enough to tell him the % at 8 box / if he had the button it may have been a different answer.

A board like that, a player has to know the % or be told it by someone.

If he had gone on would he had dealt the next offer, £40,000 again with a 100% GUARANTEED £15,000? Same goes to two box offer.

I would have pressed the button 1 or 2 boxes after five box.

Good grief, you're still just as annoying and robotic as you were the last time someone dealt £40,000 at 8 box and had £100,000 in their box (see Ali's game thread from June 2012 to see what I'm talking about).

£40,000 is WAY too much for many to risk even on the best of boards, and rightly so. I'm certain Thomas would've regretted going on and crashing to £1 WAY more than what actually happened. Also, keep in mind he WON more than what 90%+ of players have done in Deal history. Just because it was from an 8 box Deal doesn't make it a stupid decision like you're making it out to be.

1. He won £40,000, that is FORTY THOUSAND GREAT BRITISH POUNDS! Try winning that on any other gameshow.

2. The offer was very generous at 8-box. His offer was roughly 66% of the mean which is good enough for me to deal.

3. He's only 24 and £40,000 will be a huge amount of money to him and lots of other people!

4. Does he care? I don't think so. ;)

5. I do believe that this is also the first Power 5 win of 2016! :D

What a game! There might not be a stronger 8-box board than that in Deal history, given how little of it there is left.

Easy to justify getting carried away at £40k, easier still to justify bolting at a Power 5 offer that early in the game. Would it have played out differently with the button? Maybe, but quite possibly for the worse. And with wins this big, certainly ones where the QM wasn't in the picture at the end, you're splitting hairs.

Only on Deal Or No Deal can you get the worst ever 17-box board followed 2 days later by one of the strongest 11-boxes we've probably ever had.
