It's really bad when you can easily predict what's going to happen. :smt011

Unlucky crash from reasonable risk-takings.

Now, what will Box 23 have to offer?

No luck there then. :( Unlucky crash, but she seems OK with it. :smt023

As we've seen a number of train wreck games this year, I'm wondering if Box 23 has had the effect of enticing players to no deal deeper into the game.

People have often given this kind of advice: "we'll if it goes wrong you've still got Box 23" as if Box 23 is a safety net. As we've seen today Box 23 is no safety net! :(

Unfortunate crash today. :( The 8 box offer was arguable either way for, as we saw, only keeping the top 2 amounts (a 36% chance) would've increased the offer significantly.

And if you knew a £100k / £10k / peanuts 5 box was only going to be a tiny increase, a deal at 8 box would have been very understandable.

Even a 5 box deal was justified if you planned on taking box 23 as it brought the EV close to £10k (which is what I would probably have dealt at 5 box pre box 23)

Yes, I'd have actually dealt £8,400 at 5-box today, planning on taking it to Box 23, with there only being a 40% chance of a better offer or box outcome, and with 3 low values, it seemed better (to me) to hedge my bets, as even the HALF result we saw (£4,200) was greater than the median finish of the 5-box configuration...
