Hard to argue about that result, even though he could've had more. It was hardly high stakes, was it?

A shame at the end there - that rather obscure amount was a pretty decent offer at 5-box, and to be honest I think John may well have cut his losses and dealt on that final 2, so it could arguably have been worse.

It was also a shame the boxes weren't kinder to John - his previous advice may not have been a great help to other players, but he did seem the type to take a risk and could well have extracted very good offers on a stronger board (although that may have not presented itself well if he'd brought a large sum to the table and sold it in the process ).

Not quite the game they were looking for to christen the new studio with, but better than a big crash. Credit to John for carrying that game well.

I was surprised that only 2 people advised a deal at £3,949.68. I expected more lights to turn on.

At those sorts of stakes, I think a lot of players would be inclined to just go for it, even when the offer is statistically pretty good. That said, if the £1k had been a blue, a few more may have been swayed.

The offer at 5-box was probably close to the EV so arguable decision either way. New set will get some getting used to (although seeing it first hand already means I'm already getting used to it).
